Iranian missiles

The rescent Iranian missile test got me interested in the Iranian missile tech. The rescently tested has a range of about 2000km with 1 tonne payload. The question is can it carry nuclear warhead? How accurate is this missile and what technology is it based on? Does it incorporate any tech that can evade antimissile systems?

1.) In theory this missile can carry a nuclear warhead. However, Iran does not have a nuclear bomb yet nor does it have the ability/technology to miniaturize an nuke that can fit into this missile.

2.) The Shahab 3 is based around the Nodong 1 missile of North Korea, which was based upon the Scud missile. My guess is that it is as accurate as the Scud, enough to hit large targets like cities and military bases but ineffectual against hardened military targets.

3.) Iran does not have the tech to install "Anti-missile" systems on the Shahab 3. IMO, the US should not have a problem intercepting this missile.

However the real question to your Number 3 note, can the US intercept the missile effectively if they are fired at US bases in a number of maybe 5 - 10 at once.

The US has deployed batteries of PAC-3 Patriot missiles around most of their bases in the Persian Gulf. These batteries remain there to this day.

They probably have not mastered the technology because they do not have a real bomb to work with but it is known that the Iranians have had documents related to warhead miniturization in their possession. They probably got them from AQ Khan's network.

Could yo please tell me the kill Ratio for patriot missile defense system last i remember (iam not a military guy so please excuse my ignorance) patriot was suppose to be anti aircraft system. And even Saddam's rusted out scuds weren't hit with this system so what makes you think this system will work with Iranian missiles.
And if the Americans have the pac3 systems working fine as they claim it to be why the spending billions to come up with a system.with the new system the only luck they had where they menage to shoot down a missile was because the incoming missile had a homing device on it.for some strange reason i doubt Iranians will allow the Americans to install homing devices on there missiles.

Let me get this straight Iran is getting all the help on its nuclear tech from Russia including a reactor.
You claim that AQ khan provided Iran with the tech on how to could you please share with us all how do u no that or is it pure speculative on your part.

Early blocks of the PAC missile system were not exactly stunning successes at intercepting missiles; however, the US Army has taken many of the lessons to heart and have upgraded to the PAC3, which has combat success in intercepting ballistic missiles.

The US is developing other ABM weapons, but it is part of a layered defence. In effect, in the event of a missile launch, the US will have multiple kicks at the can to shoot down the missile.

Here's a quote from the above link.

The U.N. nuclear watchdog agency said in a report Tuesday that Iran obtained documents and drawings on the black market that serve no other purpose than to make an atomic warhead..

In the brief report obtained Tuesday, however, the agency said bluntly that the 15 pages of text and drawings showing how to cast fissile uranium into metal were "related to the fabrication of nuclear weapon components."

Asked about the finding, a senior diplomat close to the IAEA declined to elaborate but emphasized that the documents had no other use. He demanded anonymity in exchange for discussing confidential information.

So no I am not making this up. I was speculating when I said it was the AQ Khan network but I think that speculation is warranted since that network was active during the correct time period, and was certainly proliferated lots of information.
