Because they are from Nanjing, larger cities can afford a greater defense budget. It doesn't suprise me as the new digi-cam is designed for replacing the older camo patterns. However, you can tell they are reserves since they are still using Type-59 rifle, the frontline troops are equipped with Type 81 or Type 95s instead.

see the picture where theres two people holding up the helmet, any one got any info on that helmet? it looks like its steel but modelled on the PASGT type helmets. and if anyone could provide any information on their body armour, because they don't look like they provide too much protection.

Those guys with red soldier mark belongs to the CAPF, the paramilitary police. They are probably wearing old helmets, since they don't fight in the frontline, it doesn't really matter.

Repeatedly been rated as "advanced unit in the army green" and "garden-like camp " a Navy carrier-based aircraft unit camp, hundreds of blooming cherry trees compete.
