Re: You love cat breed

Our cat (the Moks) is pure finnish countryside mouse-police, who would spend all the time in outside, but she hates snow, coldness and wet. But this is her first winter in finland. She was born in Estonia, where my cousin bougth it from cat orphan and then she spend her first year as an depressed indoor cat in small appartment in Helsinki. Afterwards we all felt that it was best for the cat to come stay with my family, as my cousin got job that prevented him to keep animals.

So far in last summer, she had managed to smuggle inside few mouses, shrews (wich finnish cat wont eat:confused:) and normal field voles, as well as a bat that lives in our outdoor-Sauna.

Sadly the only Cat I ever had died nearly 20 years ago. He was a magnificent animal, Half Tabby and Half Blue Persian. He was also big, weighing 20 Pounds!!

He was a Red Tabby and had a very pleasing face with a snout that was half way betwena standard Cat and the Flat face of a Persian. He had the distinction of being the only member of the family to ever have their portrait painted (dont ask!).

I called him Sir Henry because the size and Walrus style jowls and whiskers made him look like a WW1 British General.

Its utterly ridiculous, but I still miss him:(

He must have been a magnificent cat SampanViking. And Sir Henry was probably a suitable name for such a cat. Look at it this way, at least you didn't see fit to name him Colonel Blimp.;)

I've always had a soft-spot for Siamese cats, and bdpopeye's is a fine-looking animal.

Well I had a Moggy black and white cat. She was actually very docile and inspite of not being declawed, never clawed any of our children. Her funniest antic used to be her attempts to communicate with the pigeons in the backyard. Even with the door open she would not go and attack them but make very funny noises as if it was trying to communicate. Needless to say the pigeons would not have any of that malarky and would straight away take flight.
Sadly she developed a tumour in the back of the eye and we had to put her to sleep 2 yrs ago at the ripe old age of 16yrs.My daughter cried for three days and we cant have another cat in the house because she does not want us to.
