?? Didn't i just say that? Of chinese destroyer which carries the YJ8 series missiles, the modernised Ludas, Luhus, Luhai and 052B class all carries 16 of them, only the 051C and 052C carries eight but thats due the fact that altough both of those designs are derivation of the "16 missiles ships", additional system fits prevents the extra octople of missiles.

I'm more and more convinced that this is indeed a model of Visby tagged once again as the "newest chinese XXXX". Apparently the hoaxers have now moved from the newest russian stuff to swedish stuff...Man this phenomenal is a plague in the chinese military forums...

Usually if Chinese BBS posts a photo of a model as an illustration of equipment in development, it is a photograph of the whole model.

From now on we will use this thread to discuss potential and possible future PLAN missiles surface combatant designs. Note not particularly limited to destroyers but cruisers, frigates and corvettes too.

Here's another imaginary destroyer. Its not bad for amateur work, as he seems to know what he is doing. Looks a bit like the Horizon class though.

not much deference with 052C,just some improved,the anti-ship missiles still not vertical launch,I think Chink stop to create new destroyer will mean that it will design a new generation of missile destroyer.

Western ships have not embraced the concept of vertical launched anti-shipping missiles as well, relying on the current angled launchers.

The 10-meter-long Granit anti-ship missiles are mounted in VLS, which allows as many as 20 of such huge missiles to be fitted onto a single Russian warship. By adopting VLS for ASM can greatly increase the number of missile can be carried.
