Chinese nuke plants dispose of tritium this way too, just like everyone else. Nice hypocrisy from CN Gov
Haha I know it is bs but this would be an excellent opportunity for China to do some propaganda. Nobody wants to hear that nuclear material is disposed to their sea.

However it seems that China sucks at even the easiest way to score PR wins. Disappointing..

In some thread you cry because muh Chinese propaganda is not at the level of Western propaganda, and now you cry because muh China is being hypocritical, lmao. The US always uses human rights as propaganda, and they are the biggest human rights abusers, they just don't give a shit. Didn't you said China had to be cocky like them, and get on their level? This is good propaganda for both domestic and international audiences. Anyway, I already know the kind of person you are (from your chair you could solve all China's problems), but at least you could be more coherent.

Between this and bitcoin going to 64,000USD if you dont currently have a GPU or gaming PC, you aint getting one

Ideally China takes TW with TSMC intact but the Yanks will flatten TSMC themselves to prevent the situation of having to get approval from Beijing for chip exports

Yeah I paid like 300 euro extra for a 3070 because the 3080 wasn't available back in February. Hell even the power supply I wanted for my new development rig was sold out and for memory I had to look at 8 web shops before I found a available and correct 32gb set. I had friends/colleagues that thought the semi conductor shortage would be resolved by June this year and postponed building their new rig

This thing is Propaganda for you? Sure, just low level ineffective PR. I have no issue with CN hypocrisy, I want even more.
Effective PR is for Xi to invite family of those killed by AU & US war crime for a nice photo in Zhongnanhai houses and "sanction" US central command Admiral. And then Sanction AU Gov for its war crime.
Effective PR is to send CCP journalist to Mali when French army killed last month people in a marriage, take pics of dead bodies and publish it every day on social network.
Effective PR is to receive Chagossians of Diego Garcia and make a conference with them to show Hypocrisy of US and UK stealing their land

has some good stuff:
  • Mr Su has reached out to both national meteorology folks and they've shown him many projections of the spread of the radioactive once the waste is released, the foremost country being impacted is US. Then it will loop around the pacific rim in a big loop, eventually reaching the east side of Taiwan and then back to Japan, diluting all the meanwhile. Impact to China is minor. Xi jokes that the new Olympic medals should be uranium, plutonium and strontium instead of the usual and the winners would hang the medals up and they would function as night lights as well as contraceptive at home
  • Mr Su has heard some interesting insider news from US Department of Commerce (specifically National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration), the folks working there are furious at the planned release. Accoring to Mr Su the response from the US government is very polarising - the people who actually have technical work to do with this are saying "What are you doing, the black tide are coming right at us!" FDA and import people have already said if elevated radioactivity are discovered than imports will immediately be banned. FDA has already banned import of seafood from Japan (99-33 import alert). Yet the career politicians don't want to get involved because they don't want to distance Japan which they feel is an ally they really need right now
  • since US is unwilling to step in, Mr Su think this is an unique opportunity for China to present herself as a superpower and force Japan to act responsibly
  • regarding the 25 PLAAF aircraft going to Taiwan, Xi confirms that ROCAF did not scramble a single fighter to intercept. Taiwan's media seems to be on a campaign of deliberately playing down the PLAAF flights in order to numb the public, hence for example they always use stock photos of aircrafts rather than take new photos each time when they do intercept
  • Taiwan media seem to pay a lot of attention to J-16 and not much to say H-6K which they have seen more of for longer previously. However in Yanji's view H-6 is much more dangerous in actual war situation, partly because of its greater strike power and partly because of its range. It's likely that ROC has agents stationed near front line PLAAF airfields that will monitor coming and going and report back if they see big group of aircraft taking off. H-6K's much longer range allows it to be stationed in 2nd line airfields and still have plenty of range to strike Taiwan, making it much more difficult for agents to track
  • speaking of agents, Mr Su spent a lot of time going over his experiences of how to catch Japanese and Taiwanese agents in China. I won't translate the details here out of respect for MSS folks
  • Mr Su have noticed Jaw Shaw-kong/趙少康 have been watching/listening to the show, as he mentioned on his talk show in recent days "in Shanghai two experts have revealed that PLAAF have long ago flown circles around Taiwan and have entered within 12 nautical miles, yet we here in Taiwan are not discussing it". Mr Su said he is also aware the Americans have hired a special gang of people just to listen to the show
  • the gang gave their opinion on some of the really strange stuff that ROC armed forces do like the recently launched amphibious ship. ROC forces have thing where if historically a certain tactic worked they will get pigeon holed onto it and think it will be a winning formula each time in the future too. The idea behind the amphibious ship is because during Battle of Kinmen ROC conducted a successful anti-amphibious landing, where they landed behind the PLA forces already on the beach and cut them off from behind. Even since then ROC have been dreaming of replaying that move, hence this ship.
  • regarding the recent USAF simulation, Yanji think of it as a really good, highly visual sales pitch to the government in order to try to get money. So say since the simulation shows USAF can only barely beat PLAAF when equipped with NGAD, B-21, upgraded F-35, AGM-183 then USAF can point at the result and go "you see, if we want to win we have to have these new toys, else we have no chance. And if you're not happy with a 'barely won' than we need much much more". It may also be USAF's way of saying "if 2030 USAF can barely beat 2020 PLAAF than I hope you don't actually make us go to war" to the government.
  • regarding Ukraine, by Mr Su's calculation if there are to be fighting it will happen no earlier than middle of May. Both sides seems to prefer a stand up fight and would like to avoid rasputitsa
Tomorrow 15/04 is National Security Education Day, Mr Su said he and Mr Yang has already received order from above and will be doing a special addition of 观棋有语 were they will reveal lots of juicy information for educational purposes.
