Hey all,

I need to be able to pronounce military terminology in Chinese and was hopefully some of you might help or point me in the right direction. I have a dictionary, but certain english military terminology doesn't make sense or give the correct meaning. Like what is the PLA's equivilent of a US Army Signal Officer?...in Chinese Mandarin. I got a tons of terminologies that needs the PLA's equivilent! Any help you guys can provide would be greatly appreciated.

Also, if this is the wrong forum...I'm an idiot, I apologize in advance, Mods please move to correct forum.

Besides the Signal Officer, what else are you interested in?

I see. My point was that since we don't know what we're thinking, you'll probably have to provide a comprehensive list of all the terms that you want to know. I'm not very good at providing romanization of pronunciation for Chinese words so I'll have to let someone else pick up the slack...

There are two 通讯员 in a PLA company, the direct translations are 通讯-----communication, 员----personnel, especially a person in charge of something. But they are not officers, they are low level surgents or just soilders.

Anyway, just give us your list and see what we can do.
