What is left for Russia to export to China?

... For PLAN I would consider building and improving the existing types to implement AIP systems. For Surface Warships development of more advanced anti-ship missiles that can defeat the Aegis equipped ships is a crucial one...

Defeating the "Aegis equipped ships"? You cannot develop to defeat something you cannot test against. You develop to have efficient and capable equipment.

There is not going to be a war with China, if there is it will be nuclear and that would suck big time for everyone in the world. China does not need to defeat the "Aegis equipped ships", it just needs something in the doorway to sit there.

Countries do not need good equipment they just need nuclear ICBMs. Look at north korea they are laughing, the US will not touch that country anymore it is part of the US foreign policy if you have not noticed.

Secondly what China should develop more long range cruise missiles that can be used by submarines, ships and planes. Somewhat like the Tomahawk but a supersonic version would be better.

But a stealthy hypersonic Cruise missile with advanced guidance systems that could reach the US...

The attributes long range and supersonic are somewhat exclusive on CMs. Unless you're willing to build some the size of a small aircraft. Wich in turn would mean you could only carry a very small amount of them on ships or aircraft. A possible solution might be subsonic CMs that go supersonic in the terminal phase. And China already has than. So, they can improve here.

Beside the enourmous task of making a hyper sonic CM stealthy, developing one at all is a task for decades to come, and I doubt they will be really cheap for mass production either.

Once the J-11B programm proves to be succesfull, China might develop a dedicated bomber from it in the future. Perhaps with importing some Su-34 subsystems from Russia.
But then again JH-7A isn't that bad a system.

Sorry this hunker down mentality is not great power thinking. China's existential threat went away long time ago. The current development is about how to be an influential player in a non-doomsday scenario (which are the only kind that matters if you think about it).

Think about body builders, all their muscles are not going to be used for choking someone. But their muscle is their aggrandizement, every single day they derive greatness from the muscles. That's what China needs, daily glory.

You know, every analyst in USA and China thinks the "most likely" (not saying it is probable) chance of a conflict between the two powers is in the event of a Taiwan secession. And nearly every analyst in USA and China thinks it would be limited and conventional. From the Chinese perspective, dealing with Aegis ships is a priority.

Huh? Than nobody can develop ANY sort of weapons, since you can never actually get your adversary to help you test it out. Clearly, China has "Aegis like" equipment like HQ-9 and Russian Shtil.

I don't really have anything to add to the list. I would just agree that what Russia has to offer is limited, but China would probably be interested in Air Transport, both fixed wing and helicopter, the Zubrs, the Arena system, sonar and ASW technology, and perhaps collaboration with Russian engineers on a heavy bomber project sometime in the future.

Air defense and anti-ship missile technology. Ship propulson. Powerplants for planes. Russia has been very involved in all areas of indigenous Chinese procurement programs, so there's still a lot to learn from them.

Wow when I read the title I immediately thought of natural resources such as oil, coal, gas etc. Funny how the mind works, and to answer the question, natural resources is what Russia can export to China for a very long time.

I just found that, in past 10 years, Russian imported thousands of Chinese high-end CNC system, about half of Russian high-end CNC market share, from China CNC R&D Center, the same institute providing CNC machine tools for WS-10A production.

It's very interesting since even China can make high-end CNC system itself, some extremely advanced, Chinese still imports 10s of thousands of CNC system from west each year, mainly from Simens of Germany and Fanuc of Japan. Chinese can makes most of the imported system, but Chinese products still lag behind in reliability, capability and feature, so grabing market share is very hard for Chinese pruducers, but it's growing.

And every time Chinese can make some very high-end CNC tool, western ban is released and price drops to half of the original, which makes Chinese manufacturer kind of miserable. But for defence sector, it doesn't matter.

It's interesting to watch Russia is the biggest Chinese high-end CNC importer. Seems that they still have problem in buying western advanced CNC system, or just can't afford to buy. Sino-Russia relationship today is more transformed into cooperation.
