the guy that normally posts the new pictures from Hudong just made a post saying that 071 LPDs full displacement is 22000 tonne, length is 180 m and width is 22 to 28 m. I have no idea where he gets this from, so can't confirm one way or another, although I do think the displacement sounds on the high side.

I think the LPD will be used to carry AAVs. The main equiments of PLAN marines are AAVs.

Take a look at this picture of the back of the 071, I do think it is about 21-22m wide on the bottom. Using the worker as a guide, the inside space is about 16-17meters wide.

are you guys talking about simultaneous landings? It would be great if it can handle just two of mi17 sized choppers, and even that seems a bit optimistic. Anything more is impossible. Since we don't have any accurate data, its hard to tell if its one or two.
