Its kinda hard to give any more hints, without giving it away, so I`ll just post a new question.
By the way it was Lt William Dean Hawkins, killed on Betio in 1943, and the airfield there was named after him. He also won the medal of honor.

Yes, it is the M247 Stg York 40mm Spaag.
If you ever would like to throw a couple of billions out of the window, this is the way to do it :D Worst project ever, but looks cool

well as aviation and army seems to be others speciality, I keep up with the martime aspect

Well, I think we`d better cooperate on this one.
Its looks like a ww2 soviet destroyer of some kind. If anyone have the right books..

Well,I have to take a guess again. Opitnii Destroyer. A one off experimental ship with 3 130mm guns. Many new tech solutions put into a small vessel. Cant really find a picture of it, but several of the features were later employed on the Tashkent Class, like the turrets. The picture has several similarities to the Tashkent, as well as being smaller, so its my guess that it is the Opitnii Destroyer.
