She celebrating Chinese getting infected

What should be done with these evil people?

This series of tweets actually showcases not only how cruel but also how stupid these HK youngsters are.

Needless to say, celebrating others' sufferings is obviously very cruel. This is indeed very uncivilized.

She is also stupid because the officer's infection actually is a strong sign of community spread of the virus in HK. She feels festive about a virus spreading like a wildfire in her own community?! With this kind of stupidity, I don't see how they can succeed in anything... It also kinda tells you the quality of their ideals. If an ideology/belief is attracting a bunch of stupid and cruel people, it's not a good ideology.

From what I've heard older HKers are more likely to be pro-Beijing. COVID-19 disproportionately kills older people. Put two and two together...

Apparently prayers is the answer to the COVID-19, that is according to the Indonesian Health minister's reason of Indonesia not having a single case.
He was quoted by the Jarkatar Post challenging doubters saying:

Indonesian Minister of Health Terawan Agus Putranto dismissed the study, saying the country “owes it to God” that it is allegedly coronavirus-free.

“Our country believes in God. No matter the religion, as long as we uphold Pancasila, praying is of utmost importance. We work and pray. It’s an honourable thing,” he said, according to the Post.

“If there are other countries protesting, just let them. It is our nation’s right to rely on the Almighty,” he said. “Why should we be ashamed of relying on the Almighty? We should not be ashamed of praying.”

With a Health Minister with that kind of mindset, Indonesian do need to pray ....... LOL

Persistence of coronaviruses on inanimate surfaces and its inactivation with biocidal agents

Günter Kampf, Daniel Todt, Stephanie Pfaender, Eike Steinmann

Summary

Currently, the emergence of a novel human coronavirus, temporary named 2019-nCoV, has become a global health concern causing severe respiratory tract infections in humans. Human-to-human transmissions have been described with incubation times between 2-10 days, facilitating its spread via droplets, contaminated hands or surfaces. We therefore reviewed the literature on all available information about the persistence of human and veterinary coronaviruses on inanimate surfaces as well as inactivation strategies with biocidal agents used for chemical disinfection, e.g. in healthcare facilities. The analysis of 22 studies reveals that human coronaviruses such as Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS) coronavirus, Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS) coronavirus or endemic human coronaviruses (HCoV) can persist on inanimate surfaces like metal, glass or plastic for up to 9 days, but can be efficiently inactivated by surface disinfection procedures with 62-71% ethanol, 0.5% hydrogen peroxide or 0.1% sodium hypochlorite within 1 minute. Other biocidal agents such as 0.05-0.2% benzalkonium chloride or 0.02% chlorhexidine digluconate are less effective. As no specific therapies are available for 2019-nCoV, early containment and prevention of further spread will be crucial to stop the ongoing outbreak and to control this novel infectious thread.

Because of U.S. CDC mistakes, only state public health labs in California, Nebraska and Illinois can test for SARS-COV-2.

Apparently even next week the American flu surveillance system will still have to send samples to CDC HQ for testing, creating a severe bottleneck.

Meanwhile, labs in Wuhan are processing a combined 14,000+ test samples per day.

And some people think the Chinese government s incompetent or trying to cover up.

Indonesia doesn’t have any infection because they are not actively detecting any infected.

As many as 20,000 viruses are expelled in an average cough, which may be sufficient to infect many people — particularly those who are not vaccinated.

Julian Tang, a consultant at Singapore’s National University Hospital’s Division of Microbiology, said as many as 3,000 tiny droplets are produced in a standard cough.

The amount of viruses per droplet is quite low it seems, based on the data above (~10^5 viruses), I would say the viruses shouldn't last too long.
