How widespread are the protests ? Seems to me that fewer than 50 people are there in the group.

Understood all the above. This forum is good for debunking nonsense and, as such, I am here to learn. This information was interesting and not something I had encountered here or many other places: SDF's opinion on the matter would be of great use.

The designer was, in fact, removed. If he was embezzling funds, that would be a good reason. It need not be a huge number of workers affected for there to be a scandal. And it also need not impact production much.

Is RFA considered to be as accurate as Minnie Chan here?

called Radio Free Asia "a waste of money." "Wherever we feel there is an ideological enemy, we're going to have a Radio Free Something," she says. Dalpino said she has reviewed scripts of Radio Free Asia's broadcasts and views the station's reporting as unbalanced. "They lean very heavily on reports by and about dissidents in exile. It doesn't sound like reporting about what's going on in a country. Often, it reads like a textbook on democracy, which is fine, but even to an American it's rather propagandistic."

This protest happens all the time in China. You just don't hear about it (before you say it, it is not because of censorship, it just the western MSM rarely reports on it).

This just goes to show that protest is possible and allowable in China. And the only reason you and some other posters felt it is a big thing is because we have been bought up on a diet of China is draconian bordering on 1984 Orwellian oppression of all descent! When reality is no where what they painted.

Also, this alleged embezzlement of money is not unique to China. I remember the case in the UK where Robert Maxwell embezzled all the pension funds.

Of course, when this happened in the West, the MSM always reported as, it is caused by a rouge individuals, where as if it happened in China, the blame is often lay at the door of the authority, if not the president himself!
