Lol at "Terran empire".

Iraqi militias fired some primitive rockets near some US base and killed an American "contractor". Then US responds by killing 25+ PMU Iraqi fighters. Then pro-PMU Iraqis protest at US Embassy, injuring and killing ZERO Americans. So US assassinate the top Iranian General. Unbelievably reckless decision to assassinate a top foreign general for the sake of some graffiti.

Now Trump is threatening genocidal war crimes openly on Twitter whilst Fat Pig Pompeo cries about de-escalation. The stupid dogs didn't know what they were doing and the situation they've created for themselves.

Iraqi Parliament will vote to remove these colonialist pigs and the entire region will turn into a graveyard for all Americans, as promised. Trump shouldn't have let the neo-cons/hawks fool him, he had no idea what he was getting himself in for.

Since the dawn of mankind it has always been able "might is right". Things like "laws" are merely human constructs and abstractions. "Rule of law" is used by the strong a pretext to oppress the weak. The strong do not abide by law, they use law to control the weak and give a justification. Now the US demise is soon approaching, so the gloves are off and they don't even pretend anymore.

US sanctioned Iran because Iran didn't not play ball (aka did not let US rape it) they couldn't turn it into a puppet that they could then colonize, and since a war was too costly at the time, it was sanctions as the next best thing. Then Trump admin gets into power and rips up the treaty that US signed, then they use that as retroactive excuse to kidnap Huawei's CFO daughter/princess, then they use the fact that they kidnapped the Huawei CFO as justification to ban Huawei and put it on the US entity list. Then tell US companies to stop doing business with Huawei. But when that wasn't enough to kill off Huawei, they wanted to go after non-US companies as well to sanction them if they used more than 25% US IP and didn't stop doing business with Huawei, the intent being to kill Huawei supply chain. When Huawei got rid of US parts, the US then said well that wasn't good enough and lowered to 10% US parts IP threshold and now harassing TSMC to stop supplying Huawei or else it and Taiwan will suffer the wrath of the US government. Get the picture now? This is never ending....

The only way this ends is when the US hegemony is replaced for good, the sooner that happens the better for the entire world.

Doesn’t matter if all they fired was a 5 pound cannon left over from Nepoleon’s expedition to Egypt. They attacked a military facility hurt and killed personnel. That demanded a response. You don’t expect trained military personnel to sit back and take that?

they broke through the grounds on to an American embassy and damaged the grounds an event that could have been far worse. See Benghazi or the Iranian hostage event or the Iranian Embassy in London on how.

They didn’t assassinate a an Iranian General. They killed both an Iranian General and the head of the PMU forces in the same strike. The pair were together. What were they doing do you think? Car pooling? Please. The PMU was organized by Soleimonei. This was long and coming.

This whole thing makes me think of the line by the Police Captain in Casablanca. “ My god there is gambling going on here!!! I Am Shocked...”
And the waiter walks up and gives him his winnings.

The base was training Iraqi security services and the PMU, who we’re supposedly used to help the Iraqi government attack it.

The PMU are counter attacked and break into the American embassy. And the US retaliates. Seriously!? People are shocked. What world are we living on.
Captialist pigs! Wow...

You know what they should hold that vote then hold a referendum on moving the capital from Baghdad to Tehran.

"This was long and coming".

So the argument above implies their assassination was justified by their "past" alleged misdeeds done to US interests and personnel.
That's not how Trump et al described the reason and justification for their assassination at all.

The question is why are Americans anywhere near them to begin with if it is such a messy place?
Can't blame the Iraqis and Iranians, can you, because they didn't invite those people over willingly and started treating them badly all of a sudden.
It was the other way round if my memory serves me right.

Simple answer is US is unipolar superpower after WWII and esp since fall of USSR. Iran, Iraq, NK were targeted because they didn't open up to democracy and free markets, aka they didn't pay "rent" to the American Empire landlord. US opened up China with the hope that China's growth would help American hegemony and that when China got powerful enough America could rape China like they did Japan during the Plaza Accord, but when China didn't kowtow, then true colors showing....

Hubris it was, hence the questions why American guns and boots are there en mass "in" the very home of these people, uninvited, dead set to decide, unsolicited, what is good life for them, anointing gratuitous freedom that fits American interests and hollow talking points. Sooner, rather than later, local people started messing with those uninvited long term guests in return, paying them back in the same coins. And they wondered out aloud why are local people hurting their good Samaritan feelings when their good plans for them locals didn't pan out as they imagined.

I think the recent strike wasn't primarily about the Middle East, it was primarily about
  1. the president who's been impeached and seeking a distraction from the trial in the Senate;
  2. the Pentagon expecting an increase in the OCO 'easy money' (

  3. stock prices (NYSE: LMT, RTN, ...)
