Guys, this is the sort of propaganda/news manipulation China and Hong Kong are up against.

During Christmas, this poster begining to circulate trying to project an image of authoritarian police state against defenceless little girl!

I can't even call these Propaganda to be honest. Propaganda needs to be clever and cunning. It must be crafted with the utmost care and precision.
If HongKongers are really swayed by photos and videos that are so obvious and lacking in depth then it points to two things -

1. HongKongers are collectively a people with inferior thinking capacity. (seems quite unlikely.)
2. Hong Kongers have picked what to believe and what not. They will believe whatever they want and the reality behind the propaganda/fake news material being served to them will be oblivious to them as it validates their ideals/notions/beliefs. (that seems to be the case here)

So these are more than just propaganda. They are manufactured influence material that is required to feed the brains of the groupthink . It is akin to a newspaper subscription.Once you have made up your mind about something ...you subscribe to it and feeds off of it. This isn't news anymore...it is a drug that helps you hallucinate.

I must say that it is important to differentiate and comment on the specific factions in HK rather than lumping all HKers as a whole into being "anti-government" or "protest supporters" as many posters here often do. This falls into the primary trap set by instigators of this unrest which is to generate ill will among Chinese people, including HKers. This is in addition to it simply being untrue that all or even most HKers are "anti-government" or blank check "protest supporters".

I just read this or thought, yeah! So I like to share this with you guys about the US bills on Hong Kong. Enjoy reading this Food for thoughts.

WILL THE US’S ABSURD HONG KONG RIGHTS BILL MAKE CHINA MAD ? by Ken Morgan Yes and no. Yes because this is undiluted meddling of another country’s internal affairs of which the US has no right whatsoever. Secondly, their justification is clearly fabricated. Truth becomes irrelevant. No because the US’s HK democracy bill apparently gives PREFERENCE student visa for students convicted of rioting ! They might get Shamima Begum’d. Who is Shamima Begum? She was a 15 year old who left the UK to join ISIS. Back in 2018 or earlier this year she wanted to return to the UK. The UK government said nope and revoked her UK citizenship DESPITE this being against UN Conventions on Statelessness of which the UK is a signatory. So? this idiotic US bill apparently gives any student with a history of ‘protest’ (stop laughing) preferential treatment for visas to the USA ! Well guess what? China isn’t a signatory of the UN convention for statelessness. So if these trouble makers decide to leave for the USA “to study”, when they come back to HK airport or ANY Chinese airport they may find they are no longer citizens and not be allowed back EVER ! So right now in Beijing, the Chinese government is probably pishing themselves over this incredible gift US has bestowed on them. The Americans can be so adorable sometimes, they make it immensely difficult for bright STEM students to renew a H-1B visa causing a huge brain drain in Silicon Valley, and China proudly welcomes the brightest & the best to come home with open arms! Then they give preferential treatment to rioters, arsonists and thugs, so now China can easily and quietly get rid of a huge number of undesirables from Hong Kong without a bullet, in fact they don’t even have to lift a finger. For the CCP it must be an early CNY. 88.5k views · View 2286 Upvoters · View Sharers

Yes, you're right, it's very amaturish. Which is why I said "news manipulation". But it does stop them trying, and the sad thing is, there are people always believe it. And that's all they needed!

Take a look at these photos, the thugs tried to claimed this idiot was pushed off the roof by the police. But it's a good job CCTV camera caught the idiot in action!

And these people will always believe their version of the news!

Can you believe this people? They are supposed to be singing peace on earth and silent night on Christmas eve. But, and for those who don't speak cantonese, they are actually singing "dead black cop" in tune to jingle bells!

You are absolutly right, like they tried to clubed us all together as "pro-Beijing". In fact, not all of us are "pro-Beijing"! What we should be labeled as is "anti-rioting", but of course, that doesn't suit their narratives!

Another example of poor judgement, these people have got one of the safest jobs in Hong Kong as in job security, good pensions and government housing (not the same as public housing), and and its highly paid in comparison with others.

Yet, they throw it all away, and for what?

Yes. I do realize that HK people hold different views. I just clubbed them together for convenience of delivering my point.
I don't even think that they are wrong in protesting !
Protests are essential in a society. But these protests must be very peaceful, not holding foreign flags and not trying to disrespect China and not trying to be pawns of foreign elements. That's all.

Just watched CGTN news. They confirmed Hong Kong retail sales have dropped by 25%. Ouch! That's a big drop in anyone's book. And the drop was over 6 months period when the protest began.

They go on to say, it is not just the local business that's affected. It's affected international firm's as well, in the form of the luxury ends like Rolex watches etc.

So, in effect, the thugs have succeeded in achiving one of theur goals. (which is one of their rally cries, "if we go down, you go down with us"). Way to go!
