BEIJING - Former team captain Ji Zhe, who had died of lung cancer earlier this week, was memorized in a CBA match between the Beijing Ducks and the Shenzhen Aviators, as Beijing narrowly triumphed 102-100 through Jeremy Lin's buzzer-beating triple free throws here on Sunday.
Ji joined Beijing in 2007 before winning three CBA titles in his career. He died early on Thursday at the age of 33.

One-minute tribute was paid to Ji before the match. After Taruike Jianiyou made Beijing's first field goal, music clip personalized for Ji resounded around the arena, the only time throughout the match.
A video memorizing Ji was also played during the halftime. When the arena became dimmer, fans switched on light on cellphones, forming an ocean of light.

Wearing a dark blue jersey with her lucky number 17 and a pair of neon green shoes given to her by her parents, Pubu Droma pursued her football dream and signed up for her school's freshmen football games as soon as she enrolled.
"My idol is Cristiano Ronaldo, who once wore the number 17 shirt. I hope this number can give me more power," Pubu Droma said.

China's first intelligent transportation exhibition hall has opened in Hangzhou, East China's Zhejiang province, showing the latest development of smart transportation including travel experiences, technological interaction, industrial support and relevant innovation.
Covering an area of about 13,700 square meters, the hall provides a platform to show cutting-edge technological products and research in autonomous driving as well as intelligent use of highways, rails, ports, aviation, manned pipeline transportation, and traffic management and control platforms.

BUTUO - Nestled in the mountainous area, Abuluoha village is connected with the outside world with a rugged trail built along a cliff. One way trip needs about 4 hours by walk and goods are transported by horses.
To improve the transportation conditions which are believed to hinder the villagers from getting rid of the poverty, local authority decided to build a 3.8-km-long road that will link Weimu village of Laguo township with Abuluoha village in Butuo county of Liangshan Yi autonomous prefecture.
As the road construction was carried out, problems came. Large-scale machinery and equipment need to be transported to the construction site.
A Mi-26 heavy transport helicopter has been rented since Nov 30 by the construction unit, Sichuan Road and Bridge (Group) Co., Ltd., to help transport machinery and equipment to both ends of the road where the construction works are underway simultaneously.
After the road is completed, all the villages in Liangshan Yi autonomous prefecture have access to the rural road.

The first block of ice was pulled from the Songhua River in Harbin, the capital of northeastern China's Heilongjiang province, on December 7, 2019 to mark the start of the city's annual ice harvest.
A group of workers in traditional local costumes pulled out the first block at a ceremony launching the three-week harvest, representing a folk custom of ice collecting that has a history of more than 100 years. After the head worker read a blessing, the workers drank some wine and then started the work.
