Hong-Kong Protests

They would if they could, but the government in Xinjiang does not protect CIA instigators so they'd all be in jail long before they got any steam at all.

There are places where over the border raids can be performed by militant groups. It seems Chinese leadership isn't on Mao's hardness level and value money over pride and principle, so if they aren't gonna do anything with Hong Kong i'll bet there will more covert actions from US side & they are gonna make Xinjiang Law or something like that... maybe even Tibet.

All these petrol bombs found at polytechnic university. Now anywhere else, this will be classified as terrorist activity. But instead the USA labeled China as the bad guy, and passed laws to so called to "protect" Hong Kong! Gee! FB_IMG_1575046543861.jpg

The International Campaign for Tibet said the “impactful and innovative” law marked a “new era of American support” and was a challenge to China’s policies in Tibet.

“The U.S. let Beijing know that its officials will face real consequences for discriminating against Americans and Tibetans and has blazed a path for other countries to follow,” the group’s president, Matteo Mecacci, said in a statement.

More broadly, it will be interesting to see the Pan Democrats run the local districts.
Despite the responsibilities they have being mundane and everyday, they are the things that people see and experience everyday.
It will be interesting to see these new council officers start pontificating on Geopolitics while leaving pavements uneven, rubbish uncollected and street lights un-repaired.

Do the Pro Bejing parties have the political nouce to play party politics with the Pan Dems?
I wonder.
The fact that there seems to be so many different parties/factions suggests some divergence in not just policy but; as is usually the case, major clashing ego's.
Competent political operatives should be able to exploit such fault lines and sow chaos into the semblance of a unified front.
We shall see!

To be honest, I think it is America's domestic issue how they make laws; China's job is not to change these laws but to make them toothless by limiting the amount of influence America can have outside of its borders. America can desperately make a Xinjiang or Tibet Democracy act but it will never change the fact that these 2 places will never have democracy. Hong Kong will still fall under CCP rule in 2047 at the latest. They can even make a Shanghai or Beijing Democracy Act if they like; they're just departing the realm of reality more and more. It's just like when the US tries to use domestic law to restrict technological cooperation to technologically isolate China to prevent its rise and the result is that groups like RISC-V move to Europe, US companies lose market share in China, and global companies find alternatives to US tech (and its restrictions) to do business with China. This is exactly how China should handle bizarre and desperate US laws like the Hong Kong democracy law.

In short, American domestic laws are not of China's business. China's business is to make them meaningless delusions that only create obstacles for America's own interests by limiting American power.

I think we should kind of restrict this kind of discussion and your last couple posts. I think it will get off topic quickly.
Reality is USA will do what serves USA's best interests and for the past 20 years or so, they see their best interest as demonizing PRC.
Honestly, what do you expect PRC to do to retaliate? They created the "Entities List" similar to USA, and America just brushed it off as childish retaliation.

edit: If it wasn't clear from my reply (and everyone else's posted at the same time), best to ignore and carry on
