Hong-Kong Protests

This student leaders interview with Tim Sebastian is rather interesting. She looked sulky when replying to Sebastian's probing statements

It's a rather long interview, but its worth the effort, just to see her get totally destroyed by Sebastian.

While watching the interview, I decided that she was passable for spending the weekend together However, in case she gets mad with me I would not give her my real name or tell her where I lived because she and her mates might come round and burn my house down.

(Was that thetype of fun you were refering to?)

Wow. You're not going to get that kind of journalism in the US. Here in the US they don't even question the tactics and they just repeat propaganda lines that the protestors can do no wrong. But then that's when they even mention it. Last night I was waiting for CNN to show this huge protest the media said was to going to gather for the weekend over the protestor's death falling off a building. Nothing. First they said millions involved in protesting at the beginning of these demonstrations. Then hundreds of thousands. Then tens of thousand... thousands... hundreds and now they don't even mention the numbers. The reaction so far by Beijing would've been perfect if they just didn't make those threats of acting against demonstrators from early on. They didn't carry out their threat so don't bother. Let them destroy themselves and they can hardly blame it on Beijing. And now Hong Kong will be destroyed for their futile efforts. These protestors are sociopaths incapable of any kind of kind of perspective but their own. They don't know what democracy is. They would make great American ultra bi-partisan politicians. That Joey Siu said a lot but in the end said nothing. She reminds me of dummies I comes across who use big words when they talk but don't have a clue to what the words mean. They're trying to look intellectual. She was a horrible representative.

But then these discussions over democracy and freedom are pointless and all for nothing. Like I've been saying in this forum here... crimes are not determined by the acts one commits. They are determined by two factors... who commits the act and who's the victim of that act. Just look at politics in the US. The protestors hate the police because they think the police are there to protect and enforce their political beliefs only and no one else. What makes that any different from what West thinks the police in Mainland China are for enforcing the beliefs and interests of the communist party. Or how about Saddam's Republican Guard? It's all right to commit human right's violations just as long as you're doing it for the right side. Beijing also has internal democracy that doesn't allow anyone on the outside to have a say either. Does that mean Beijing believes in democracy too. When they cry the "Rule of law", it's a lie.

More mindless wanton destruction of a restaurant. They stopped when they realised a young girl was scared to death. Should have thought of that before you start!

Mindless, illogical and completely irrational individual. I've met people like her before, and they completely failed to see that other people will, and does hold different opinons to hers! so it is pointless to have any meaningful dialog with people like that!

Headless chicken just going round and round in circle.

What sums it up for me was that her absolute refusal to condemn any violence dished out in the name of freedom and democracy!

I've merged your last few posts together.

If you're going to make multiple successive posts in a relatively short timespan, consider either editing your previous post, or better yet, start a post and then don't post it until you think you've added enough content to it.

And if you're going to add links to social media, consider adding some more commentary to it if it can't be embedded

Protesters return to Tseung Kwan O after police dispersal ops
Residents in Tseung Kwan O gather used tear gas canisters after police leave the scene. They find at least 10 rounds and some rubber bullets. Some say they rushed down to lend support to protesters and fellow residents when they heard the commotion.

Andy Ho, in his 20s, says residents were mourning the death of student Chow Tsz-lok at the car park site where he was reported to have fallen, while nearby protesters set up roadblocks. Riot police then arrived and fired rubber bullets to disperse crowds.

“Many residents got angry and came down,” Ho says. “Soon after, officers left because they were outnumbered.”

Protesters again set up road barricades with rubbish bins and bicycles at a junction outside the car park.
