Are you fanbois finished hyper venting your raves?

Basically any one who talks about which nation's fighter is superior against another nation's fighter or any war machine for that matter is just labeling themselves as fanbois since there is no way to gauge them against one another especially when many are not showing their full potentials.
As for J-20 we don't even know how many are in service at the moment and how many are being manufacturing or how many is being planned.
Basically there is no basis.

And we have a winner in the who has the biggest ego contest!! LoL

If you want to play who has the bigger winner, go play at the F-35 or the J-20 thread.

Apart from antiterror's post on this page about J-20 being superior to F-35, where are the fanboy comments? Please clearly say who the fanboys are and explain what they said makes them a fanboy? Magas made inappropriate comments by introducing a comparison between China's fleet and Japan's. It was off-topic and inflammatory. My comment was about how China cannot hope to match the combined 5th gen presence of the US and Japan in the near term. Mostly because US is the giant. Whether Japan will receive 100 F35s and when they actually will, who knows. What China's J-20 numbers will be like by then, also we don't know. Comparing without information is senseless so Magas' comment I consider inappropriate.

There are no fanboys here apart from antiterrror's certainty about J-20's superiority over F-35. Sure he cannot possibly know for sure because superiority is more complex than how many missiles a fighter can hold etc. But that's one comment and one guy. No need to overreact and start calling everyone fanboys.

J-20 is superior to F-35 .. the same way F-22 to F-35

Do you know why the US wouldn't export F-22 ?
The Stupidity of Congress.

Saying J20 is superior to F35 is a flawed argument as they were intended for different mission sets. J20 is a Air superiority fighter that might multi role. F35 was started as a strike fighter from day one. This back and forth fails to consider the mission sets.
As a strike fighter F35 didn’t need super cruise, super maneuverability or a high air to air missile load. It needed longer range, Larger bomb bay for larger weapons. Good air to air not great. More air to ground sensors.
The USAF already had F22 which set the mold for a Fifth generation Air superiority fighter. The USAF wanted a more day to day fighter to support the Raptor. Something better suited for dropping bombs and ground attack.
The USN wanted stealthy aircraft but never actually intended a Air superiority platform. F14 was intended as an interceptor. With It’s retirement the Navy fell back on the Hornets. F18 Hornet was a light strike fighter. F/A 18 was introduced to try and buy back some more interceptor mission with bomb dropping. Lightning for the Navy was to do strike bombing and light intercept.
The Marines wanted some interception but a step up from the AV8 series. Which is wat lightning offers.
For the JASDF F35 isn’t an Air superiority machine. It’s a strike fighter to replace aging F4 Phantoms.
the Japanese were offered a concept based on hybridizing F22 abilities with F35 sensors by Lockheed Martin, but once bitten twice shy of Lockheed Martin it was amazing that they even bought F35.
For the Air superiority platform the Japanese like the US right now are refitting F15.
F15J Super Interceptor as a near term until some more advanced platform comes along.

The Japanese don’t need a super Air superiority platform just yet. The biggest threats to them wont have wide spread next gen threat systems until after 2030. F35 as a strike platform offers something to fill the missions of the F4J platform.
