I am amused by all this speculation about j-20’s gun and how I-20 must have a gun.

I think it is clear j-20 doesn’t have a gun, and I think it was a bold, but correct decision on the part of the PLAAF to dispense with the gun. The gun is an anachronism whose real value was exaggerated all out of proportion by a very particular set of circumstances the US encountered over Vietnam and the Israelis encountered in 1967, both half a century ago.

A high end super-cruising stealth fighter has no business attempting to get into any gun fight with either opposing high or low end fighter. It won’t be strafing ground targets either. Putting a gun on them betray an bad tendency to want to make a fancy fighter all things to all people, and betray a lack of clarity in operating doctrine.

La maquette du J-20 présentée par l'adjoint ingénieur en chef du programme dans une émission télévision. L'ingénieur en chef du Z-10 et l'adjoint ingénieur en chef du Y-20 étaient également venus parler de leur programme respectif.

Many a years ago I stated on this forum---whatever pakistan needs from china---it is available---. There were many a sarcastic comments---but whatever---.

This time the offer was made by the chinese president---and it was accepted.

I'm sorry, what specific offer that the Chinese president has made to Pakistan you're talking about? Are you suggesting J-20 since this is the J-2o thread?

Here we go again. I guess China is begging PAF to battle test its J-20. China as a whole would be so lucky for PAF to fly Chinese second rate stealth fighter J-20. I mean Pakistan can easily get whatever 5th gen it wants or develop their own if they really wanted to. It can get whatever it wants from China and therefore before their AZM becomes a reality, they're gonna help themselves to some J-20s to show India it too has a new toy in its arsenal.
