Glad you didn't say "peace of our time".

Yes, it is called a high alt high spd stealthy recon drone.
According too yankeesama:
WZ-8 is launched by H-6, powered by rocket engine and able to return automatically.
It had conducted at least 2 reconaissance mission over Taiwan.
:D
unlike what was usually said "everything is under our observation" (一切尽在掌握之中), Taiwan's military may have to think again before making such speech.

Hats off the 15 phalanxes that marched. The formations were all very tight and uniform. I was very impressed. Also, did anybody notice what happened soon after Xi's ride passed the honor guard. It seemed a few of the PAP started to turn to salute him, but then changed back.

Good parade today i saw the things i wanted to see:

1. DF-41 ICBM
2. The Z-20 helicopter in mass production
3. The Sharp Sword stealth UAV in service.

And interesting sight of a UUV system.

Not only interesting but even suspicious from the few images posted so far is not only the stealthy nozzle that replaced the regular nozzle of the engine, but IMO the front landing gear looks too small and the intake more like from a mock-up.

Agree, the lack of surface details points to a mock-up. While that's perhaps a bit disappointing considering the WZ-8s are apparently real and how long Sharp Sword has been in the works, it's not unusual in a parade and does re-affirm for even the most jaded sceptics that the nozzle will eventually be LO. The nose wheels were tiny on the real prototype as well - have to be to fit inside the shallow nose!

Now the question is, when are they going to put the HGV section on ICBMs. This would help the PLARF penetrated literally any BMD system.

That's big leap in thermal protection requirements (higher temperature due to higher speed *and* longer exposure due to longer flight time), ask the Russians with Avangard.

I feel like the GJ-2/Wing Loong 2 was a mock up as well... I think the choice of mock up vs real might have been a reflection of size/transportability.

You could be right... wing span, more specifically. A 20m wide load (WL II) is no doubt a chore to manoeuvre round a city centre! Having wings that detach quickly would make things considerably less cumbersome.

Looking at higher quality pictures of the GJ-2 on the parade, I feel like it might be real.

On the subject of mockups, these parades obviously have displays which are mockups. The CIWS and YJ-18 carried by the display trucks for example. Also I feel like the DF-17 shown should be a display rather than the real actual missile.
... I think it goes without saying that the ICBMs should have been equipped with real weaponized nuclear warheads.
