It looks a lot more like a large SAM to me than a ballistic missile. The reason for this is because it has long mid body fins, something many SAMs have but not ballistic missiles. You can also see a small stubby booster on the bottom which is something some SAMs have. Ballistic missiles have long primary stages. The launcher is also from a tube that is set and launched vertically. From what we have seen of the PLARF's ballistic missiles, they are fired vertically but without a tube as they are too thick for that, and cruiser missiles are fired from a slanted position.

Could be an HQ-9 successor.

Honestly also think it's some sort of BMD. The whole CJ-100 theory is probably meant to purposefully deceive/confuse those watching while serving as propaganda. Given China's regional focus, it doesn't make much sense to boost a supersonic cruise missile into a quasi ballistic trajectory. If they did that, why not just make it one of those maneuverable "ballistic" warheads similar to how Chinese AShBMs work? It's going to be high supersonic/hypersonic too.

A CJ-100 like scramjet high supersonic cruise missile has range, altitude, and speed going for it. Makes it good at attacking far off targets from inner China. Hitting those targets require damn good guidance and targeting. If China's focus is on area denial for USN in the Pacific and maybe stationary or moving Indian targets, they will probably need these targets painted by something. The existing standoff weapons are plentiful and does the job since PLAN and PLAAF will have to be in the vicinity anyway. This thing doesn't seem to fit unless it could be fired and guided by some other means.

This is the video that supposedly shown the mysterious missile at 17th second. It is gone, replaced.

Compare with the original video which was uploaded to Youtube

It certainly is something extremely sensitive that was "accidentally" put in the video.

A bit off-topic here , but were the editing and the music later added on or was it with the original package? This one is particularly cringy.

What do you mean by "cringy"? The two versions are identical except the 1s section of video track. If you mean some difference in video and audio quality, that is nothing because uploading the original video to Youtube will alter the quality because Youtube will re-encode everything introducing artifacts. That is true to all video hosting websites.
