Makes sense, we've had a glimpse of the blueprint already, and it resembles both

We don't know the details of what the new service rifle looks like.

Frankly if we took a picture of the CS/LR17 and the early leaked rifle and made them both as blurry and bad quality as our current couple of blurry pictures of the PLAs actual new service rifle, I'm sure they would all look very similar because they share such a similar general profile.

The PLA hasn't introduced a new service rifle in ages? The last new service rifle they introduced could be argued to be the QBZ-03 and even it was a complement to QBZ-95 at most.

This new service rifle has been spoken of as a military wide new service rifle.

Amazing that we finally get clear pics of the new service rifle only within 24 hours of the parade, after all this time.

Looks really damn small. Perhaps this is the vehicle crew carbine version.
Would like to see the rifle version too.

I like the design is seems to be made for Close Quarter Battle the size of it with the handle, and it still has that Qbz03 feeling it has a AK look
