That particular artist has made quite a few good quality and accurate CGIs of existing vessels, and it's obvious that certain CGIs are meant to be deliberately speculative on the artist's part.

I think having speculative CGIs is fine if it's within reason. For example a "075A with ski jump ramp" is within the realm of being sensible.



If it's "flying aircraft carrier with fusion reactors and railguns" or something then obviously that would be wildly inappropriate.

I think it is not entirely unreasonable for the Chinese to build a version of 075 with ski jump, but without the flood-able dock. But it would only make sense of the also field a tactical aircraft that can so a rolling ski ramp take off with most of its weapon load. It Could be a pure air assault ship able to provide her own organic air support for troops she lands

That depends, if the PLAN ever decide to put a VTOL jet on their LHDs then a ski jump will help increase the maximum payload of the fighters. And it will be at least be a sensible choice in the larger sketch of things. If you so want your LHDs to be pseudo-carriers then you might as well do everything to increase their performance without degrading the original capabilities of the design, a ski jump will cost less in maintenance compared to a catapult and it wont take up as much space as the latter. Deleting the well dock is a bad idea because then you will be left with a subpar carrier carrying subpar fighters. There is a reason why the America class is reverting back to a well dock design after the first 2 hulls.

I'm sure PLAN would much better like to have a new aircraft the can take off of its full carriers before designing a vtol to take off from its half carriers.

That did be a issue of priority instead of wants. If the PLAN can have a new fighter ready for it's carriers then it would have the freedom to look into VTOL fighters. When that might happen I cannot say but if the idea of a VTOL fighter is ever taken seriously, then the CG of a LHD with a ski jump will not be so ridiculous.
