Ejection of a second missile wouldn’t work unless the Missile had lock on after launch. If that was the case why have the first missile deployed as a pop out hard point?
Is the diagram in accurate? Yes it’s just meant to give an impression of how it works. Is the model accurate? We don’t know how accurate but if it it then the arms on the door would impede the space for your second missile.

For the record, I do find this a difficult to accept possibility as well. I was just referring to the post showing the model and how the space shown in the model allows for a second missile to physically fit in the space. Of course that hasn't considered anything beyond physically fitting it in there.

Having the missile on the rail and deployed in that pop out way doesn't necessarily exclude lock on after launch ability. In this fairytale case, it is possibly even a requirement to do it this way if they designed it to hold two missiles from the very beginning, thus explaining this pop out rail set up. Of course this is going WAY too far into fairytale territory. I'm just entertaining my imagination.

I was thinking about the sidebay missile arrangement. Pardon my shoddy paint skills. Maybe this is how it'd turn out to be ? The sidebay door mechanism is left out.

Exactly. *shruggs* as I said - The Door mechanism is left out.
Open to other's inputs there ofc.

The implication from the image is that the side weapons bays are longer than previously believed, i.e, there's space between the side weapons bay and the landing gear that could have a missile stuffed in it. Or, in other words, once the first missile has been fired, a second missile could be reaffixed to the launch rail.

Here's a shot of the landing gear on the J-20 in relation to the side weapons bay:

One thing I'm trying to figure out right now is what the J-20 has in terms of external fuel tanks. Given the large size of the fuel tanks, I'm calculating between 10,000 to 12,000 kg of fuel in the external fuel tanks. Yet this seems absurd given the standard external fuel tank capacity, so I'm wondering if anyone would be interested in doing a double check.

there is not much mystery when it comes to EFT. we saw four, they are in the 600 gallon class, so that's some 4000 pounds per tank. with all four tanks combined it's some 7600 kg. even if they are slightly bigger than USAD class, we are still talking about 8000 kg of external fuel.

In a video game sure, in real life that’s pure Fantasy.
If you ever have seen a missile or even a bomb loaded on a fighter this isn’t how it works.
A number of wired connections are needed. You would need a dozen robot arms to even try.

it’s not practical. As such until we see a J20 with a second missile in the side bay might as well disregard it.
