Unless HK gave a license to Norinco, something that seems questionable. It’s a clone, Copy or Knockoff. I was expecting this one though. The HK416 is quite popular among military forces. They even have Mlok hand guard. Although the pistol grip looks like a magpul.

Never mind; it turned out to be a toy gun.

MODS: please delete this post along with the original image.

One tweet in the twitter thread did say it was a toy gun, but I think that referred to this image:

However the CS/LR36 (also called HR36??) I am unsure if it is real or not.
I haven't been able to find conclusive info about the context of the below images....

From the Weibo post, it seems that the rifle first appeared at a real estate exhibition, which is undoubtedly an unusual venue to unveil new guns.
Of note, the purported manufacturer of the HR31, Sichuan Hua Qing Machinery Co., is also the producer of the CS/LM12.

Seems that, at least according to the following Weibo conversation (

), the CS/LR36 isn't a toy and might actually be a real rifle. Really strange how it was unveiled several months ago at a real estate convention, to say the least.

I don’t know but that poster strikes me as... iffy. The technical description in particular it could be a translation error but “Short stroke Piston operating system with Rolling bolt locking mechanism”
HK is well know for there Delayed Roller locking system at the heart of G3 and MP5. the AR bolt is normally described as a rotating bolt. This is as the bolt doesn’t rotate more than a few degrees where a roller moves the bolt of a G3 along a set length.

Again it could just be the transition or writer of the poster not being up in technical terms.

I've heard that those arms manufacturing consortums all have real estate business as part of the portfolio, and in terms of display that was as improptu as it gets...

Would seem questionable to the point of neglected to have real rifles on display just like that. Would you expect some sort of security lock to prevent people trying to walk off with them. Especially with only two employees for a whole table of guns.
