Why is there a RAM on one end and a CIWS on the other at the rear?

Also how many elevators one at the rear and one mid ship ?

I wonder if the well deck and hanger are connected via a ramp ?

Which side has has the pier ramp and to which level does it lead the well deck or the hanger ?

We need to know all this

I think that arrangement is used on other similar ships, not sure what the rationale is for it but I’m sure someone here knows!

You can see the ramp in one of the photos Deino loaded last night. Zoom in on the lower deck and you’ll see it right at the back, I think one of the earlier aerial shots clearly showed the ramp before the hangar deck and the superstructure were added.

The 075 LHD is a lot more versatile ship than the 071 LPD for PLAN, which lacks forward naval bases, and especially at times when large scale amphibious operation (that requires multiple LHDs/LPDs working together) far from home is unlikely, and MOOTW is important. They could build as many 075 as the 071, or more.

They need to keep up the production of helicopters nonetheless to make full use of it. Also programs for the equivalent of V-22, CH-53 and F-35B would immensely boost both the capability and versatility of these LPDs, there is great potential in them if these programs actually exist.

Basically a diagonal arrangement, 2 CIWS 2 RAM, make sure whichever side there are 1 CIWS 1 RAM can be used.

Just like this:

CIWS front RAM
RAM end CIWS

How come the type 075 is not as big as the Wasp or the Italian version? Why are they waiting for the type 075A before they implement the bigger design? This is much like the type 071A and the type 052DL, when they would implement the smaller design for the first batch and the go for for the extended version in the second batch.
