Hong-Kong Protests

But that's the point. It maybe local, but potentialy, it could be a huge win for USA, they just can't loose on this one!

If demostrators didn't win out in the end and it all sizzles out, then the most US lost is money, time and effort! No loss there

If demonstrators win, then it stored up further trouble for the future, and the money, time and effort US spent is ok. Small win there.

If China goes in and photos of "tankman" types of thing gets all over the MSM, the pressure (and it doesn't take alot) on European governments to teamed up with US to sanction the hell out of China to win the trade war that they can't win legitimately leading to a BIG win for the US.

Truth to be told, that was the goal from the start. And don't for one minute think this movement is leaderless. Look at who the US consulate general meet up with recently. View attachment 53550

And "leaders" press brefing

My point is don't let the US win BIG. You have to look at the larger picture. If China intervenes in HK they fall into a trap. Just let things play out in HK. No big lost for China.

I see, well I agreed but also disagree. I agreed that China can't let US win big. But at the same time, it can't abandon majority of Hong Kongers who are pro-China or atleast indifferent!

I'm concerned for people like my aunties, brothers, cousins and countless nephews and nieces.

They will com a point when the police will run out of gas! Citizen livelihood suffers. Etc.

I agreed that we don't want to see soliders on the street. Which will give plenty of ammunition to the west!

But the are other ways China can help Hong Kong government and police in managing this messy.

What ‘shenanigans’ exactly? Care to give some specific examples?

The amount of western and self generated fake news in HK is truly unreal.

The HK Legislative Council banned several locally-established political parties from running unless they signed an agreement to uphold the "two systems, one China" decree. Many thought that this was done at the behest of Beijing.

Similarly, HK universities banned pro-independence movements in 2017.

WIth respect to the recent protests:
  • Beijing has allegedly been cooperating with criminal organizations (i.e. Triads) to attack HK protesters while deliberately holding back HK police support
  • Evidence that HK Police is planting weapons into the bags of peaceful protesters is emerging
  • Threatening to use force to crush the protests
  • Running ads in international newspapers to turn public opinion against HK protests
  • Censoring news of the protests such that only a whitewashed account can be read by mainland Chinese citizens

What are you hearing from your friends and relatives in HK. Are these protests and their support getting bigger or smaller ? If its getting smaller then you can just wait them out. If however they stay the same or getting bigger then we have a real problem. The protests are symptoms of much bigger issue's in HK society. You have to adress these issue's to have peace and quiet in the long run.

Yes, political parties have to uphold the law or they cannot run.
Similarly, HK universities banned pro-independence movements in 2017.
Yes, secession is illegal in China. You cannot have illegal movements in universities.

The riots, uh huh, ok.
Beijing has allegedly been cooperating with criminal organizations (i.e. Triads) to attack HK protesters while deliberately holding back HK police support
Rioting, assaulting police officers and civilians, damaging public property, are all criminal acts. It is common to allow criminals to cooperate with the police to reign in other criminals.
Evidence that HK Police is planting weapons into the bags of peaceful protesters is emerging
What evidence? Show it. And also, I don't think they need any evidence of rioters using weapons via planted items at this time. There are multitudes of videos of rioters using weapons including steel bars, petrol bombs, BB-guns, bricks, etc...
Threatening to use force to crush the protests
That is what you should do to violent riots. If anything, the CCP is being far overly kind.
Running ads in international newspapers to turn public opinion against HK protests
What? Only the West can do this?? LOL
Censoring news of the protests such that only a whitewashed account can be read by mainland Chinese citizens
Does the account include the videos of violent rioters attacking people and public property? Because if a picture is worth a thousand words, then after seeing the videos, nothing left would ever need to be said about the riots.

  • Beijing has allegedly been cooperating with criminal organizations (i.e. Triads) to attack HK protesters while deliberately holding back HK police support - TRIADS FOUGHT ALONG WITH AND FLED WITH THE NATIONALISTS TO TAIWAN
  • Evidence that HK Police is planting weapons into the bags of peaceful protesters is emerging - ARE THE POLICE HOLDING THEIR WRISTS MAKING THEM SWING THEIR WEAPONS IN THEIR HANDS AGAINST THEIR WILL TOO...?
  • Threatening to use force to crush the protests - NOT A CRIME AGAINST PEOPLE USING WEAPONS
  • Running ads in international newspapers to turn public opinion against HK protests - NOT AGAINST THE LAW ESPECIALLY SINCE FOREIGNERS ARE TAKING THE MONEY TO SHOW THE ADS
  • Censoring news of the protests such that only a whitewashed account can be read by mainland Chinese citizens - HYPOCRITE!

WHAT A BUNCH OF SNOWFLAKES!

Oh dear, where have you been, Alpha centauri? Oh, you have!

If you have bothered to read any post here, you would see most of your statements is so out there, it's in another galaxy!

Since others here have answered your assertions so eloquently, I'm not even going to be bothered. Except to suggest that you should read more, preferably from different sources!

And obviously, you haven't read my posts, so I'll post this photo again just to show that the gun was planted in his hands, and some genus control device invented by the devious Commis that forced him to put it to his eyes and take aim!
