Inconvenient truth, I'm glad to say I wasn't born then. But I've heard stories from my parents and uncles and aunts about that time. However, I was born in the 1967 disturbance, and boy, I can tell you, the treatment dealt out by the British authority make todays Hong Kong police look like panda cub!

This hits the spot, and the western MSM plays this to the full.

When I was growing up in Hong Kong, I remember Hong Kongers are split into two camps (just like today). They are the nationalist (ROC), and there are the communist (PRC).

And basically, depending on which camp you side with, no matter what one side does (even if it's good and beneficial to Hong Kongers), the other side will oppose it automatically, its kind of reflex action!

Now, this behaviour is now passed down to the current generation. (not right, but it is what it is). What is wrong, is the western MSM uses this to further their agenda in the region!

There is always the silent majority who doesn't really care much as to who is in charge or in the right as long as their everyday lives are decent. There is also always those who know the objective truth and behave accordingly.

Absolutely, yet the MSM wont tell you that. I mean, in the UK (and maybe US and other western countries), we have laws to safeguards this. Its called anti-radicalisation. Basicallly, teachers/lectures (I'm one) have to be vetted before they allowed to teach. We are also not allowed to radicalised young adults on religion and politics. Or teaches HATE!

So if we are not allowed to radicalised young adults, then why is it acceptable for Hong Kong teachers to teach hatred (and I mean HATRED) towards government of Hong Kong and China?

Its ironic that this same teachers are quite happy to accept monthly paycheques from their own government they despises!

You mentioned a very important aspect. That's the importance of primary, secondary, and tertiary educations. I suspect the young people in HK are brain washed by western propaganda since childhood, mainly through their education. I'm a firm believer that who commandeers the high ground of education wins the ideological war, while the media play a secondary role. It's very unfortunate that the HK government folded to the same ideologues we see today and scrapped the plan to teach more Chinese history in the HK high school curriculum in 2012.

This is an intentional destructive purpose and legacy of colonialism with the discrediting and dismantling of native culture from art to politics to religion to sow discontent and discord which of course sets the stage for further colonialist meddling. It is a shame that Hong Kong's government, and civil society, has been so weak in addressing this as local leadership is most familiar with and can best navigate local cultural nuances.

It's going to awkward when the CCP wastes its time and energy looking for a foreign instigator, only to later find out that it was its own policies and backpedalling of its promise of autonomy to HK that ultimately led to this backlash.

Of course, it knows this already and is still peddling the idea of an American/Western-led "coup" to those brainwashed enough to believe it. But outside of mainland China, where information is heavily censored and whose citizens don't know better than to swallow whatever they're spoonfed, who else will actually believe the CCP's crap?

Exactly where have they back peadled?

"You never had it out of British, you are asking of China what you were never given by the British. They never gave you universal suffrage! They put it in the basic law but they never gave it to you."

"Do you think that the Britain when it signed up the deal with China, engaged in a certain degree of self-delusion about what would actually happen in reality?"

"The reality is Hong Kong stands on its own."

Dude is completely deluded.
First of all, this dude looks like he was cast in every single Chinese wartime drama as the guy who licks Japanese boots and ends up shot by the Japanese when they don't find him useful anymore.

Anyway, these couple of days have been topsy turvy. I'm seeing videos upon videos of white people from Australia, Britain, etc... stand up and curse out Chinese people for trying to divide Hong Kong from China. What a world.

Two simply gorgeous artworks showing the so far unconfirmed but rumoured serial variant of the SAC FC-31 ...

No -- I am saying that there might be dozens of J-20s in service by the end of the year but we might only get a fraction of them confirmed via photographs of their serial numbers.

What I'm saying is that for virtually all PLA combat aircraft (especially newer types), we almost never receive pictures of every airframe in service.

Instead, at any one point in time we tend to only have pictures of a fraction of the aircraft in service, leaving an unknown fraction of the rest of the aircraft unaccounted for.

Anyone wanna bet on when we'll see the first WS-10 production plane? I think around October 1st.

I mean come on here all it takes is a Wikipedia page check to read about the groups founders affiliation. and Wikipedia is generally a poor source. Might as well post a shocking expose about how the Washington times was founded by the Moonies.
Yet suddenly NBC is all over this? Incidentally they are owned by Comcast and operate MSNBC who have been running political hits on the right well Epoch times runs them on the left.
