What a bunch of idiotic students. They should be down on their knee apologizing to everyone whose denied their rights to movement and yet we see them here arguing with those inconvenience and telling them to look at poor me being denied freedom to wreak havoc. Pathetic and does not bode well for HK with kids like that. Have no thread of sympathy for these people anymore. They are bunch of privileged brats.

You can clearly see all the tell-tail signs of brainwashing in that clip, where the brats are just ignoring all the extremely reasonable and obvious questions the Australian guy was asking them, and they are just endlessly repeating their slogans and loaded idiotic questions.

In my opinion this continuous 90 day extension is the stupidest way to go about this. It not only keeps the urgency on Huawei to innovate its own parts, it also gives Huawei more and more cushion time to do so properly. Trump did this because American companies like Qualcomm and Micron are complaining that they are taking severe hits to their revenue so these 90 day extensions were made so they have time to diversify from China but they cannot use this buffer time well because there is no amount of time that would allow a market to emerge replacing the Chinese market. Meanwhile, Huawei can use this time very well to innovate its US-replacement technologies. If Trump committed to a total ban without regards to American losses then the US companies will certainly take it on the chin but at least it will present serious short term challenges to Huawei. This 90 day-by 90 day strategy only prepares Huawei to slide out from US tech with minimal disruptions while setting up the US companies to take it on the chin all the same just at a later date.

LOLOL The UK is like, "We just had to release an Iranian ship we stole because it turns out Iran's not so easy to bully. You want us to get into a tussle with WHOM now??"

Well said!

The whole idea for these kids is their privileged status vis-à-vis mainland Chinese are steadily being eroded over time and they perhaps want the UK to restore their privileged status? They are unable to compete on equal footing and need their former master to restore former colonial order. Sound about right to me. I know enough native born HK people to know this.

What none of these kids have experienced is the colonial period where colonials are treated as second class citzens. It is 22 years since the hand-over (boy, am I getting old, I remember like yesterday as I returned with my wife and kids to celebrate), and 99% of these students weren't even born!

So all they hear about is the "glorious days" from their lectures who brain washed these kids of how good the good old days were! (Omitiing ti tell them Hong Kongers didn't have a say in hiw Hong Kong is governed. Let alone having the right to vote. And let's not get started on the crushing of demonstration in 67. (I was there then)!

Another aspect is that the hard/core protesters/opposition are anti-CCP/communism ideologues who cannot bring themselves to be critical of capitalism and essentially demand more communism/socialism.

This hits the spot, and the western MSM plays this to the full.

When I was growing up in Hong Kong, I remember Hong Kongers are split into two camps (just like today). They are the nationalist (ROC), and there are the communist (PRC).

And basically, depending on which camp you side with, no matter what one side does (even if it's good and beneficial to Hong Kongers), the other side will oppose it automatically, its kind of reflex action!

Now, this behaviour is now passed down to the current generation. (not right, but it is what it is). What is wrong, is the western MSM uses this to further their agenda in the region!

Absolutely, yet the MSM wont tell you that. I mean, in the UK (and maybe US and other western countries), we have laws to safeguards this. Its called anti-radicalisation. Basicallly, teachers/lectures (I'm one) have to be vetted before they allowed to teach. We are also not allowed to radicalised young adults on religion and politics. Or teaches HATE!

So if we are not allowed to radicalised young adults, then why is it acceptable for Hong Kong teachers to teach hatred (and I mean HATRED) towards government of Hong Kong and China?

Its ironic that this same teachers are quite happy to accept monthly paycheques from their own government they despises!

This is good piece by the english comedian. I have seen footage of what he describe at the airport. Especially the one the mob is beating one of the own. (talk about hysteria).

It is largely an accurate account, although I dispute his demonstration figures of 2 millions. (thats largely a CLAIM made by the demonstrators, and impossible to accomodate in the spaces they occupied. The Police had it at 100 thousands) and about freedom and democracy etc.

Now I normally don't read this trashy paper. But the headline got my attention, and prompted me to think:

Now. The reason Trump delay tariffs is because he doesn't want to hurt American shoppers!

1/ Where is the joined-up thinking here, shouldn't the advisors advise him about the American shoppers BEFORE he make the annocement! Lol. Now, he looked particularly bad to the world for his "BLINKING" U-turn!

2/ Didn't Trump told Americans and the world that China is PAYING all these tariffs, and if China is paying, then why would it hurt American shoppers for their Christmas shopping???

All these shows you can lie so much, but soon it'll catches up with you. The old saying accurately describe Trump's dealing in this trade war:

You can fool all the people sometime.
You can fool some people all of the time
But you can't fool all people all of the time!

There is a difference between peak and total attendance I believe. People come and people leave throughout the rally.
