My point was merely that 071 and 075 would not play a very important role in the invasion of the Taiwan island, nor are they being built with that in mind.

And I disagree, because that I believe the fleet of 071s and 075s they are building will likely play an important role in a Taiwan invasion given the overall composition of the PLAN's amphibious fleet both at the present and in the immediate future.

I do agree that 071s and 075s are not being built with a Taiwan invasion as their only primary objective, given they are obviously intended for blue water amphibious operations.
However such ships will likely still be very important in an amphibious assault operation in a Taiwan invasion.

The amount of sealift and forward sea based helicopter aviation that a fleet of 8 071s and 3 075s will be able to bring during an invasion is significant, and greatly support and supplement the 30 odd 072 LSTs and number of much smaller LCUs, LCACs and handful of Zubrs that will be used during the initial phases of an amphibious assault.

Both of these hulls occupy the same basin. Which means they are both going to get floated and moved at the same time. So, you might see too 075s in there together, next.

The 071 was launched a few days ago while the 075 remains in the basin, so clearly they have some method where you can launch either ship even when the other hull is not yet ready to be floated out.

If so, then I stand corrected.

I must admit I wouldn't be surprised and already had a similar idea when I saw this image.
