That's exactly my thought ... I must admit I did not measure and calculate, but my feeling so far told me the finished ship should be about twice the length of the modules so far connected.

seems to be a good visualizing, but: why did'nt they cant move the complete hull by Railway in a big Swimming dock?

My post dated 24th March 2019:-
"There are discussions in CJDBY that the proposed new "launching and fitting out basin/pool" contract is to be completed by October this year. And also a mobile dock or barge will be completed by the same time.

If the above are true, then it is possible that ac 003's planned launching schedule is after October this year. I have a photo dated 2018-8-19 showing a module of 003, which indicate that JNCX started fabricating that module in 2nd quarter of 2018.
(Edit: forget about the "launching after October this year" part. It should be movement of super module to dry dock.)

Since October 2019 is about 1 1/2 years after, it is quite reasonable that ac 003 will be launched around then. It will be interesting to see if they will use a dry dock or using the mobile barge method that launched type 055 DDG."

I'm going to take a conservative approach. H1 2021 for launch. H2 2019 for relocating the hull to Dry Dock #4, if that's the plan. IMHO, the construction schedule for the carrier #2 should not be used due to different construction method, especially if we're dealing with a nuclear powered vessel. I also suggest to avoid using the US as an example as they have been building nuclear powered vessels for a long time.

I think they will not use the dry dock no 4.

They making a carrier (capital ship ) production line, to pump out fresh new aircraft carriers / LHDs in 1-2 year cycle time.

That is way more important than the first ship made there.
