So please enlight someone who live here for 30yrs and know quite about racism in US. mind you i never said discrimination/racism doesn't exist in US, it just its not the norm.

It is not so in your face and obvious, but it definitely is present. Chinese are by far the best technical people in the US, but are only extremely rarely promoted to high level management. In tech, it is all white Americans, and Indians, who get promoted to senior management. The Chinese are simply left behind. It's indirect racism.

dont think people have to join party, there are plenty private firm in china that are looking for talents. i think become a member is for government position, maybe civic role etc. even then it might be optional.
well it's always optional, but what I meant Yesterday at 9:04 PM was since the guy said he's a doctor, I guess he'd need to join to become a chief physician at some point

I'm not a physician; I diagnose genetic diseases most of the time without the need to even see the patient. But anyway, I'm not hungry for power or promotion; I just want to humbly serve a hospital and its patients in China. With power comes a great deal of political responsibilities and I don't want to divert my efforts to dealing with that.

China is making some amazing strides in genetic research. It's a very exciting time to be a scientist in China right now.

hey truth hurt.

I have been here for a long time.
I have seen quite a few new members joining this forum, not to contribute, but to cast negative comments on anything and everything Chinese. YOU are one of them, no doubts about it.
I could be wrong but I have not seen you post significantly informative articles to further our collective knowledge.
And please, show some respect to our long time members. They know far more than you do.

You keep posting MSM article critical of China and you said here the proof that China suck But those article are written by journalist that does not has any clue what they are talking about It more like they are talking from their behind based on ideology, prejudice, race superiority.
As a proof they always citing anecdotal evidence or comment by someone who is critical or has ax to grind against against PRC

The idea are all the same China can't invent, China is backward, China is communist so they can't invent, China will implode, Chinese people will welcome democrazy, China steal etc, etc

They have been saying that for decades but none ever materialized sofar
You don't know a squat about Asia All your live you has been brainwashed that the west and US is the best I have suggestion. Couple with being visible minority diminish your sense of self worth and value. Do travel to Asia you will broaden you horizon and open your eyes. Immerse yourself with Chinese culture, tradition and value. I notice that people from lower class coming from China just completely lost their identity. So when they come to west they are going gaga

Many of US who travel widely in Asia or grew up in Asia know what the Chinese can do
