US F/A-XX and F-X 6th Gen Aircraft News Thread

Repeating does not make reinforce your claim.
Did the CNO say the following which was the headline for the article?

Yes or no? Simple question.
LOL!
no, the CNO did not say "Navy brass view F-35C's stealth as overrated"

the CNO just ordered as few F-35Cs game-changers as he could

The F-35 Is An Antique: Japan Is Going All In On a 6th Generation Fighter
But will it happen?

Technologies tested in the X-2 that could reappear in the F-3 include EMP-resistant fiber-optic fly-by-wire avionics, and ‘self-repairing’ flight systems that detect and automatically compensate for damage to an aircraft’s control-surfaces.

Japan’s 2019 Mid-Term Defense review quietly revealed that after years of hesitation, Tokyo has decided to press ahead with development of its own domestically designed sixth-generation Mitsubishi F-3 air-superiority stealth fighter, rather than purchasing an additional foreign stealth design to supplement its growing fleet of F-35s.

In February 2019, the Japanese Ministry of Defense explicitly

these intentions to Jane’s. Reportedly, F-3 performance requirements are set to be released in the 2020 budget, with development officially beginning in 2021 and a first flight targeted for 2030.

The new F-3 jets would then begin replacing Japan’s over one hundred home-built

"Each XF-9 can generate an extraordinary 180 kilowatts of electricity, which could be potentially be used to power directed-energy weapons such as lasers or especially radar-based microwave weapons that could fry circuitry in ballistic missiles streaking towards Japanese islands."

fanbois clasp their hands LOL

Says the denialist and Japan bashers. LoL
funny is what you conveniently LOL omitted Today at 2:17 AM while quoting my post:

I omitted it out since it was redundant.
Basically you just want to deny that Japan can develop an engine that can generate 180 Kilowatts even though the XF-9 can achieve 147.10 kN wet and 107.9 kN dry with 20cm thinner in diameter and 1 meter shorter compared to Pratt & Whitney F135.
You also believe that Japan does not have the capability of developing high power direct energy weapon.
Unfortunately for you I already posted Japan's capabilities of developing these weapons in the Japan Military thread and a Japanese company, Konoshima Chemical is the pioneer in developing transparent ceramics which is the key component in developing 100+Kilowatt solid state ceramic lasers.

yeah, "circuitry in ballistic missiles" will "fry", LOL

Try circuitry within AAM or SAM to fry.
did you post a fairy tale inside Sunday at 5:28 AM

? please note this is a yes or no question

Nope but you are showing ignorance towards cutting edge technology, namely Maser technology.
Basically it's a less celebrated cousin of the Laser which are both direct energy weapon technology.
If and when electronic components are hit by a Maser it will fry the circuits in the same effect as if they were hit by an EM pulse.
