Just a quicky,

Just heard on CNBC news, that the Peoples' Daily of China just published on its editorials:

With regards to the supplied of Rare earth.

I quote "Don't say we didn't warn you!

The significant of these words is because it has ever only been used TWICE in is history.

Once in 1962 just before the war with India, and the second time in 1978 just before the conflict with Vietnam.

I guess China is peeved, and it's now serious.

So guess Trump's trade war is not easy to win after all!

There is no proof of forced IP tech transfer. It's based on "anonymized" complaints to White House, good luck getting Chinese govt to accept that accusations without hard concrete evidence.

China will just vehemently deny it and say "anonymous" complaint is not hard evidence.

Not really new articles about China's rare earths, but its a good time to read them. Goes to show how truly bad the US has to rely on Chinese rare earths, including magnets on the F-35. Besides the rare earths itself, there is something that needs to be pointed out --- the patents to obtain and refine these elements. While there has been much more publicity about China's or in particular, Huawei's wealth of 5G patents, here is the real IP elephant in the room ---- China's massive IP portfolio on rare earths refinement.

The Chinese filled the void left by US rare earth mining with gusto – establishing the world’s largest rare earth research facility; filing the first rare earth patent in 1983 and over the next 14 years filing more patents than the US which had been working on them since 1950; and acquiring US technology in metals, alloys, magnets and rare earth components.

First of all, America subsidizes the crap out of all its national industries with Trump actively threatening companies that don't follow his agenda with withdrawal of subsidies. That and the US is being called out by Airbus for refusing to follow WTO rulings on providing subsidies to Boeing. For the US to complain about Chinese subsidies is really a case of a fat person shoving burgers down his throat telling others to not eat.

Secondly, John Lee must be watching current events on rewind if he thinks that support for the US is increasing because it was quite higher at the beginning of Trump's administration when Europeans stressed that Europe and the US must work together to counter China and that Europe is not seeking new alliances and now, that's all silent. Europe is now focused on getting the deal they need from America and protecting their own interests with France saying that there should be a middle ground between Chinese and American style (in other words, they're neutral or moving there). Polls indicate that more Germans trust China than America and French newspapers are cheering the Chinese headlines on when China said it is now ready to dig in for the Long March. If anything, support for the US is waning by the day and one can only hope this goes through 2024.

Is a bit rich posting "hudson" publication and not considering it political, yet posting from "pro-China" posters are considered to be political!

Give me strength

Good news for Trumpies, a recession is coming.

Last December, US yield curve started to invert. Now US yield curve inversion goes even wider and deeper.

As of May 28, 2019

US 3-MO U.S. 3 Month Treasury yield, 2.36%
US 1-YR U.S. 1 Year Treasury yield 2.292%
US 2-YR U.S. 2 Year Treasury yield 2.075%
US 5-YR U.S. 5 Year Treasury yield 2.028%
US 10-YR U.S. 10 Year Treasury yield 2.231%
US 30-YR U.S. 30 Year Treasury yield 2.669%

10-yr Treasury bond yield is lower than 3-mo Treasury bill (2.231% vs 2.36%), a typical storm signal for the market and the economy.

LMAO. The Fart of the Deal master is a real stable genius. He single-handedly sets a recession rolling with his trade wars. Go Trumpconomy. Go the one-term TPOUS.

"Trade wars are good. Trade wars are easy to win!"

The U.S. Yield Curve Just Inverted. That’s Huge.
The move ushers in fresh questions about the Fed and the economy.

Boeing gets sugar daddy deals by the US government on defense (see the tanker deal for example). They also get huge subsidies from Washington state and every single other place where they have facilities. Then there is the US EXIM bank, which is used to provide Boeing with loans when doing aircraft sales.

So why can't Chinese regions subsidize companies which operate there with low interest rate loans and the like when it is done in the US all the time?
Yeah, the US is full of crap.

US never subsidise its industries, period! How do we know this? Because the MSM tell us so!

Before you all reply, I am being ironic here.

Just want to do a fact check here, Google has never been banned in China, they chose to withdraw from mainland themselves, actually they are still running the advertising business there and it's quite profitable.

Like I said before, it's pointless debating with someone who lives in his own little bubble!

Um, thank you?

Nothing's fair because nothing's exactly the same. The US does many extremely unfair things (really well-outlined already so I won't go through them all again) so for China to be completely fair is to put itself at a disadvantage.

Post your source on why Huawei is owned by the Chinese government, and this time, don't cut out the title and link to hide the date.

I particularly like the use of "phantom shares". Would like to know the source.
