Brigadier
JF-17 Over Baku? How the Sino-Pakistani Combat Jets Could Revolutionise Azerbaijan’s Air Force

Art work Azerbaijan....

Azerbaijan’s armed forces have expressed interest in acquiring the Sino-Pakistani JF-17 single engine fourth generation fighter since 2015, and the former Soviet republic could well become the third foreign client for the fighter jet after

. A number of reports indicate that the Azeri Air Force is set to finalise a contract for the acquisition of up to two dozen of the JF-17 Block II single engine multirole fighters with Pakistan to modernise its warfighting capabilities.

While Baku has enjoyed a close defence partnership with Israel, and increasingly with NATO countries and Turkey in particular, these parties are not capable of manufacturing a capable low cost combat jet suitable for the country’s Air Force. With relations relations with Russia remaining far from friendly, and the with the country looking to strengthen its defences against both neighbouring Armenia and Iran, the JF-17 could well be the ideal fighter jet for the country.

Can we please stop posting reports from and even more quoting militarywatchmagazine.com??

It is IMO one of the worst news-pages I know. If you post NOW a photoshopped and faked report here, You will find it in a few days as a "confirmed" news. This was the case with the J-20 trainer, with Turkey or even China buying the Su-57E, and so on ...:mad::mad::mad:

Well, so I can actually claim everything, say I know it but I won't disclose the facts or reveal my sources!

Isn't this a bit lame?

Hi,

Disclose the soucre---!!!!!

Who would do that---specially in weapons world and relating to actual combat---.

People don't disclose their source pertaining to small issues and this was a mega event---.

He DID disclose the source. He only said he won't disclose the entire conversation, but his source was the PAF hierarchy. And there were clearly political considerations involved in this classified event, as an investigation was taking place involving our defense contract with the US. Obviously a foreign journalist would not have been given classified intel, that is literally treason! As soon as the US cleared Pakistan, that official line from the ISPR changed immediately, and we stopped denying Viper deployment. Other reports and analysis (including Kaiser Tufail, who is the most reliable PAF source) and neutral international sources have all concluded that the Viper was used!

-----THE END!-----

Now for God's sake, move on. This isn't even the right thread for this discussion.

Hi,

Why did you not reply to @Deino's post---. He is the one asking to disclosing the source---even though according to you the source is disclosed---.

Are you scared of him---?

And stop using this pakistani 'facepalm' adjective---it makes you look stupid---.

@siegecrossbow let me reply to him once more, after this I'll stop from my end.

Because Deino wasn't arguing for Vipers not being involved, by relying on a logical fallacy (argument from authority) against overwhelming evidence.

I know you think challenging authority makes you look cool and brave, but that only works when you're not wrong. Otherwise, it just makes you look like a sullen child. This is Ramadan after all, so it's a good time for admitting one's errors and making an effort to grow up. So please do that. Salam.
