To address its own and country biggest weakness, Huawei must advance its chip manufacturing.

China can severely harm US interest by exporting cheap stealth fighters like j31 everywhere
Also uncontrolled fentanyl drugs flooding into US.

Then do it.

Trump has already beat the shit out of China. It's gut punched China and kidnapped one of it's princesses for ransom.

And China still wants to talk about "win win"? Just typical gutless coward behavior honestly.

If China can punch back, then punch.

And yet they're too "civilized" to use such things as leverage. Leverage isn't leverage unless you're willing to use it.

I don't see Huawei panicking; I see you panicking, inserting random question marks... and reverting to 3 letter Trump words LOL
Because you don't read news.
Huawei ask Taiwan TSMC , innolux to keep supplying components. Those companies said for the time being but have to evaluate later.

You better at weight lifting, that's your bread and butter. Trade war, you are not so knowledgeable.

Fully agreed. I am seeing a lot of typical gutless cowardly behavior that is making me very concerned about the outcome of this trade war. With Mandarins like Wang Yi in charge, Plaza Accord 2.0 here we come.

Waiting for final $300 billion goods result Trump has guts to do it. Then it's all out by China

Right now China is cowardly

Absolutely. I just see a lot of overly cautious and timid behavior coming from China.

The strange thing is, China is a bully against countries weaker than it is. But it is gutless and cowardly to countries that are stronger. So much for "strongman" Xi. What a fake show. Mao Zedong was far braver honestly.

Russia is a far more courageous country than China is in every way.

All US has to do is force Taiwan government to shut TSMC from making parts for China. Easily defeated.

I'm pretty sure they are not gonna cut the ties between TSMC and Huawei. Remember that Huawei accounts for roughly 20% of its orders. Samsung is the primary competitor to TSMC and shutting Huawei out will push Huawei to Samsung and severely hamper TSMC's market share. TSMC is literally the only remaining high-tech enterprise Taiwan still has right now. 2019 is a critical year for both TSMC and Samsung to solidify their positions in 7 and 5 nm and any loss of customers can be fatal.

This isn't playing chicken driving off a cliff; this is global chess. You think with brains, not guts. People with guts for brains yell really loud and end up widening the trade gap, unable to stunt rival economic growth, and stimulating the MIC2025 that they set out to stop. So... more guts to him. The guy who drove off a cliff on a dare had the most guts.

I read that letter by Huawei about its spare tires. It's also normal to talk to the rest of your supply chain and other non-US suppliers.

Weightlifting is clearly not my bread and butter since I don't earn money from it but it's starting to get weird again, just like last time you kept showing your obsession about other people's male genitalia, this is the second time you're complimenting me on my athleticism in a discussion about trade and tech. Let's not get creepy, ok?

I bet you a lot more people make sense of what I'm saying about the trade war than what you're saying... well, that's a low bar since you don't even realize that China's goal is to be number 1.

Except the U.S. has just as much leverage over ROK as it does over Taiwan, if not more so. They can block BOTH Samsung AND TSMC from doing business with Huawei. And I fully anticipate that they eventually will.
