probably the US didn't allow the Australia to send the modern ship with American parts to China :p ... worried it might be copied by the Chinese

US naval vessels including Arleigh Burke class, have visited places like Shanghai. That was some time ago.

I won't look too much into who and why they didn't send their ships or what kind of ships they sent. Countries may have specific reasons that are not related by any means to the diplomatic status. After all, the Pakistanis wasn't able to send any ship this time even though Bangladesh and India did. Pakistan sent a delegation however.

Looked around but seems there wouldn't be a live stream. Anyone have information on this?

Bit of a short notice, but I've heard that there will be live broadcast. I don't know which channels - they say that CCTV 1, 4, 7 and 13 are the likeliest candidates.

Event will begin in 20 minutes (13:30 Beijing time).

Currently doesn't look like there will be a livestream. Bad rumors are bad rumors.

EDIT: Keep your eyes peeled though.
