I become curious about the J-15 vs type 001 lift compatibility.

I calculated the lift size based on deck maps, and knowing length of the carrier, it should be 15m*15m. ( sea side has a curve, it is the end of curve)
Length of the J-15 is 21.9m.

Based on the pictures the distance between the landing gear and the tip of nose is 15m.

Width of the fighter with folded wings is 7.4 m.

So, the fighter has to be positioned by mm allowances to not to shear off the nose, or not to drop into the sea.

Two fighter can be lifted only if there is few mm of clearance between them.

Same data for F/A-18 vs nimitz lift:
Size of lift : 22.2 width *17.76 ( from deck maps)

F-A-18 length : 17.1m
width with folded wings : 9.94m

Based on wiki / deck maps / fighter pictures. So, there can be same error.
