At this point I am not sure if 002 might be attending.

Hmm I think I misplaced the post, I clicked the wrong thread.

A comparison of images showing the carrier on 2. and 4. April show that after finishing the red/orange primer, painting of the second coating - maybe final anti skid-layer - has started.

If the photos from April 2nd and 4th are dated correctly, then they are moving pretty fast too. Looks like the landing strip is nearly done now.

Progress on Type 002 aircraft carrier from 2nd January until 7th of April.

Hm, so two days for a fair chunk of the deck to be recoated. At that pace, by 10th of April they could be more or less done and by 12th all the markings could be done. Assuming whatever other work is being done is also completed, there's still a fair chance 017 is going to be seen on the parade on April 23rd. Hopefully with some new planes on the deck. Even if they have to lift them up with a crane while in port, just before the parade.

So ready for parade day ?

Only a little bit more anti-skid coating has been applied to the ski-jump, but there is a lot of scaffolding and activity around the island.
