how can we know for sure this is a actual air to air battle 2 days ago and not a training mission ? both planes can be of same nation. The images are kinda unclear too
so IAF ordered mig 21 to intercept f16/jf17/mirage , what a bold air combat strategy, please rethink your source

What sort of strategy is that? Using planes designed 60 years ago abiet with few upgrades over enemy territory is asking for it!

First Indian media uses a pic of their own downed MiG-21 saying it is a PAF F-16.
Then, when Pakistan offers a goodwill release, they say Pakistan was pressured into it with titles like, "How the IAF got our pilot back".
Now you are imagining that a captive prisoner with a swollen eye who just had the blood cleaned off his face moments ago, is being begged by the people who have him under arrest!
You can't make this up. Indians can make even the ugliest defeat sound like a victory... That's the specialty of Indian "power"!
Your western command air marshal was just fired. Does that say to you that the IAF was happy about trading a MiG-21 for an F-16 shoot-down or does that say to you that India was thoroughly humiliated by what really happened? Next time, make your lies look a little more realistic. If you wanted to pretend you got the better of an exchange, at least wait a month before saying your commander retired; don't fire him within 24 hours and still say you won over your opponent.

Superior situational awareness, the use of surprise, tactics etc are all enough to confer a temporary advantage that may allow a less capable aircraft on paper to shoot down a more capable one. It isn't only about the pilot but the system of systems involved in a particular engagement.
That said I don't believe a Su-30MKI has been shot down on this instance as I haven't seen any evidence for it.
Fully Agreed. @Dieno done the right thing - separate all these propaganda yelling, and more worse, to this one insteadinstead polluting others like that JF-17 forum.

All these tiny thrillers, as long as it didn't escalate, serve the interest of most global players - US, Russia, China, EU - very, very well. With only little baits like weapon, words, and funding when necessarily, they put two strong potentials in check. Both are annoyed constantly, hatred turned to blind, asking for any help to keep battling, without awareness of a caged-fighters dilemma... ... and many worse analogys to come.
Nevertheless, I would like to raise below, esp to Pakistan and Indian members:
All these tiny thrillers, as long as it didn't escalate, serve the interest of most global players - US, Russia, China, EU - very, very well. With only little baits like weapon, words, and funding when necessarily, they put two strong potentials in check. Both are annoyed constantly, hatred turned to blind, asking for any help to keep battling, without awareness of a caged-fighters dilemma... ... and many worse analogys to come.
Even with a more powerful radar, the BVR performance is still limited by the effective range of the missiles
It's not like TVC is some sort of game changing technology, other than the Russian & Indian air forces by extension TVC adoption have been extremely limited.
