The digital coloration on the belly of the plane looks like a stealthy drone/bomber.

Yeah, that's exactly what I meant!

If I had to guess, my take would be that #053 is serving as an auto-flight and remote control systems test bed with pilot back up for Okhotnik. The blade aerials could be for a data link and the chin pod might contain a landing camera.

There is no optical cover over the IRST.

Actually, the IRST fairing seems to be holding another forward-looking camera.

It wasn't immediately obvious to me the first time I looked at it! Almost like a Rorshach test.
What if that Ojotnik silhouete means that the UCAV works as number two?
Guided form or acting as partner of the Su-57?

Normally it works from two seaters, but...

You guys are amazing, I learn something on SDF everyday, but this is amazing, I assumed it was some planned B-2 prototype silhouette, crazy, but very kool....

I thought in the "loyal wingman" and "loyal scout" concepts when i saw the images.
The drone could use its passive sensors to locate enemies and send its positions to the "mother ship" while the Su-57 remains silent and undiscovered miles behind.
Then, through datalink, the drone send the coordinates and the Su-57 fires.

I think is very plausible

Brilliant deduction Mr. Holmes!

You nailed it Bub, no doubt in my mind, good job!

Further more, I'm seeing this "loyal wingman" concept as the game changer it is, makes the less than optimum L/O Su-57 far more effective and overcomes some of my concerns for the Su-57??

This is bad news for RSK Mig.
Sukhoi is selling a lot more than Mig and they just won the heavy drone adquisition program.
I don´t know how hard this blow can be for Mig as a company.
The Mig-35 is a good plane but almost as expensive as the Su-30 that is bigger and has a heavier punch.

These are hard times for an historical company.
