Two more... Not sure when these were taken.

Hey the guy pop said Chines EMRG has max initial speed of 11km/second. That would be 30+ mach! If it was a typo for 1.1km/second, it would be too slow.

Mach 30 will probably mean low barrel life. Hard to believe this rumour. Barrel length seems too short to allow for that kind of acceleration.

If he meant 11000km/h, this would be about 3km/second which seems realistic for a railgun.

Best to ignore that rumour altogether. 11Km/sec seems unrealistic. That's what was apparently said so why guess what he meant.

Hey the guy pop said Chines EMRG has max initial speed of 11km/second. ...
had they shot a 3.2 kg (= seven pounds) projectile (as BAE did), they would've had roughly a (don't nitpick) 200 MJ (two-hundred megajoule) gadget;

had its pumping time been 1s, they would've needed 200 MW to shoot it meaning a dedicated electric power plant attached LOL

by the way 200 MJ is not THAT much; from my older posts:
Feb 1, 2018
in the example Today at 7:30 AM
a striking velocity of 514 m/s is for a muzzle velocity of 762 m/s (the link is

)
so 1225 kg weighing AP Mk8 shell would loose
(0.5*1225*762^2-0.5*1225*514^2)/(0.5*1225*762^2)
about 55%, but still had the energy (of 162 MJ) several times higher then the current (32 MJ) US railgun they were considering to ax anyway Dec 7, 2017
...
plus an estimate for 'cargo' Feb 3, 2018
...
an AP Mk8 shell from that example had 1.5% of Explosive D (according to Campbell's Naval Weapons of WW2),
and I didn't find its TNT equivalent, so assuming there were 18 kg "of TNT" inside, it'd mean about 75 MJ released (

);
so the kinetic energy of said shell hitting as in that example, about 162 MJ, would be actually higher than of the burster

...
means more than 200 MJ in total
