Folks I think we've given poor Minnie enough of a ribbing already. Let's get back on topic.
Maybe because former Admiral ZZZ said 003 won't be nuclear, so in Law of ZZZ that meant 003 will be nuclear.

I agree that the island could be smaller. I often wonder why the island is so large. Perhaps functions that are done on the 03 level on a Nimitz class are done in the island aboard CV-16 & 17. Such as ready rooms and CIC, Flag and CO berthing.
But a wider flight deck? Why? It's already 72m or 237 Ft wide. A Nimitz class is 76m or 252ft wide. What advantage do you think the ship would have if it was wider? Thank you for any response.
