Thank you both for your kind words, but I must admit IMO I'M surely not a more reliable or professional writer than others especially not as Blitzo;

Thanks for that great report and I'm sure I cannot say more.

Concerning my report(s), there will be a brief pre-show report in the Air International and the true report will be published in the Air Forces Monthly and eventually the German FlugRevue.

You do a very fine job of "putting all the pieces together", and as much as I like looking at all the J-20 pictures, I'm always amazed at the details you reveal that I have missed?? Good work Deino, and I know that must have been a "dream assignment" for you, and I really am very jealous, while I would have "liked" see the J-10 dancing around on the OVT, I really would have "loved" seeing the J-20's very nice formation and particularly the individual "air display"!

So for you my brother, as all the Zhuhai Airshow's that have gone before, you landed on the "Golden Shore", Zhuhai 2018 will go down in infamy, as the Zhuhai, to beat all previous Zhuhai Airshow's!

I'm very happy that you were able to be in attendance, congrats......

Deino does such a great job with PLAAF inventory tracking that I was surprised that the Zhuhai invitation wasn't just a ploy to invite him over for tea.

You're too kind, but I just write relatively short blog type posts, and nothing like the scale or professionalism of what you've published in your various books!

Look forward to it.

Also, tell us more about your trip in general, e.g.: your first time to China etc? (new thread?)

We have an outstanding thread on the Zhuhai Airshow, and it was an awesome airshow,,,, My concern is that we keep the J-20 "photograph album" together as a "reference collection", otherwise it will be lost in the Zhuhai/J-20 thread when they are updated,,, as a sticky or just a stand alone thread, it represents a massive photographic reference library, particularly those photo's with practice shots slung in the weapons bay, and off those side bay pylons.

Its alway's fun when people think they've found some new photograph, then the tremendous squawking that ensues when somebody has to remind everyone that somewhere back in 2016 that picture was already posted??

So at the present this tremendous reference upgrades every previous photo to current day, I for one think BY-78 should compile a photographic thread of his and others recent postings,, it is such a shame that many of our outstanding J-20 photographs are buried deep in our past inactive threads..

As much as I enjoy peoples thoughts and comments, and love to add my own,,, these photographs represent a massive windfall not likely to be repeated for some time, if ever, lets not let this amazing moment get lost in the "clutter".

Unless by78 pays for his flickr.com account, many of his pics are gonna be gone in a few months anyways

Folks, have we discussed this supposed cockpit image before? If this were real, J-20 could indeed carry up to eight missiles internally (LED screen to the right with # 8).

Yes it's been discussed. Thought to be probably a speculative creation (but likely very accurate to what the actual internal configuration is), but almost certainly not a real photo.

Chances are J-20 will have the ability to carry eight missiles internally (six BVR AAMs ventrally), but probably doesn't currently. Considering a new BVR AAM is likely in development to allow carriage of six such weapons I wouldn't be surprised if software was being developed already to facilitate it anyhow.

I wonder what the J-XY/J-35 cockpit will be like and whether the two platforms will share common subsystems or not.
If this is accurate then it confirms the 6 BVRAAM + 2 SRAAM loadout.
