The Russian Ministry of Defense plans to receive the IL-276 medium-sized military transport aircraft in 2026
The Russian Ministry of Defense plans to receive the IL-276 medium-sized military transport aircraft in 2026 and fully equip them with the Russian Federation Air Force for 4 years, reports RG referring to the magazine of the United Aircraft Building Corporation Horizon.
The new IL-276s should be replaced in the An-12 transport aviation, since from 2023 the An will begin to come to an end its service life. Moreover, because of the situation in Ukraine, there were problems with the supply of spare parts for the An-12 and out of 69 aircraft available, the majority is “laid up”. Their functions are currently performed by heavy IL-76, which is not a rational use of aircraft resources.

Serial production of the new generation ICBMs Sarmat scheduled to begin in 2021
MOSCOW, October 31. /TASS/. Serial production of the new generation inter-continental ballistic missiles Sarmat is scheduled to begin in 2021. The first regiment armed with these missiles will enter duty later in the same year, a source in the Russian defense-industrial complex told TASS.
"The deadline for completing the Sarmat’s flight tests and authorizing it for service is 2021. Serial production is due to begin in the same year. The first regiment - two silo-launched Sarmats and a command center - will enter duty then, too," the source said.

Russia develops modern family of protected military vehicles
Protection of military vehicles has become a priority for the Russian armed forces. The efficiency of weapons employment, logistics support and everyday activities of the troops depend largely on how well army military vehicles are protected. Russian experts have developed a family of the Medved-class protected military vehicles and later the Patrul-3A protected vehicles, the Russian Defense Ministry said.

Tecmash CEO Vladimir Lepin told the Zvezda broadcaster about the design of new missiles, artillery shells and multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS). Tecmash has recently displayed new-generation projectiles for Tornado-G MLRS. It created a system which allows the operator to accomplish the mission without leaving the cabin. Three new munitions were designed and the commander decides which one to engage to increase combat effectiveness. Major interest in the system was displayed at the Army-2018 show. Tecmash is ready to produce and supply it to potential buyers. The enterprise is working to increase Tornado-G precision and range.
