The making of Nixing pottery is a well-preserved tradition in Qinzhou. In 2008, the techniques of making Nixing pottery were listed as one of China's state-level intangible cultural heritages.

A film projection team made up of women projectionists was set up in Nanfeng County in 1990s, when film projection brought lots of fun and happiness to people living in remote villages.
