If I had built a brand new computer system to automate all kinds of ship functions (trim, buoyancy, freeboard, etc) and wanted to baseline it in different scenarios, this is exactly how I would do it.

Exactly automatic ballast system to compensate for any unbalance weight. They are testing it,Part of series of test that CV17 has to go through before sea trial. It is not like driving your car a lot more complicated specially for the first domestically built carrier
