Meh, just a few haters.
I don't hate it. And you'll find most objectors don't hate it, either. It's a good ship with world-class combat prowess (assuming the crew's any good) but looks goofy as f*ck.

Same with the J-20's side profile. It makes it look like J---------20 instead of J-20. Aesthetically, the dunce cap and J-20's side profile just doesn't do it for me, and many others.

Which begs the question why built another class of warship that is similiar in capability to the Horbat. Why not built more of the same with improvement on each follow on ship, learning from the last built and having economy of scale. Just wait and see the new class of frigates is going to end up being way over budget and some well connected Aussie getting rich.

Yes, we have managed things very poorly. Partly this is due to a lack of consensus here about the desirability of maintaining domestic industry. Unlike many other nations, Australia has not committed to sustaining domestic industry as a strategic imperative.
