Just finished reading Deino's old book Flashpoint China. Kinda strange to see Deino write about geopolitics instead of military hardware, but it was very thorough in terms of introducing each of China's strategic regions, their roles, potential opponents and likelihood of conficts involving them.

As expected lots of them has to do with border conflicts. View points from both sides are explained objectively and there were even extra background information provided for people who are unfamiliar with China to understand China's viewpoint.

The book also goes in depth about the hot topic at the time: South China Sea and like any other topics in the book, maps and graphs are provided to help visualizing it.

Overall, this is a great book about China's military deployment, it's relationships and conficts with surrounding countries(and of course the US). I'd recommend reading it for a better understanding of China's foreign relations even if you are not interested in which fighter division is deployed at which base.

After for foreign policies he get wrong coz it is very old since very long time, problems with a big difference beween the 2 countries for various reasons... so it is not new and not necessary, useless to repeat indfinitely as he do bored we with some others and him/you/we can't remake the world... ! and it is not the point here it is a forum for military subjects.

Why do I need to criticize China to prove to you that I love the USA? All military forums has a political attachments to it that we sometimes can not avoid, but do our best not to escalate it. Yes I do speak my mind within the forum rules as best as I can.

You can love the country but not the government. That's the basis and core of a democracy and a free republic otherwise it becomes tyrannical and a totalitarian form of government.

If you don't like the government the people have been given inalienable rights to change it.

People who erroneously equate loving the government to being akin to loving the country will soon find themselves creating a totalitarian regime.

As a matter a fact that's how most dictatorships and fascist regimes from ancient times till modern times come into being. The over the course of time the populace either got brainwashed or convinced themselves that loving the government or the person in charge is similar to loving the country and those folks on the other side be branded traitors.

President Trump LOVES Russia and has never criticized Russia in public. Does that make him less American because he never criticizes Russia? Or since he is Caucasian, he is automatically considered a loyal American?? Americans with Asian descent must denounce their heritage to prove their loyalty? So to you, any Asians who have nothing bad to say about their heritage are automatically considered "not complete Americans"?

Very simplle according Figaro he is completely American live + nationality ( with seems Chinese origins ) but he do only US anti propaganda never for China which he venerates, it is completely abnormal for behavior ofc but what interest he have, why do it ? same question for some others ...

Well guys, I am going to build a USS Enterprise, CVN-80 (that's the third Ford Class)in 1/350 scale. I will have a completely built out and lit hanger and also plan to put lightng in the island if I can.

There is no kit, so I am going to buy a Nimitz kit and then rebuild it to be the 3rd Ford class. That means an entirely new island. Completely rebuilding the aft end of the the thing, and then redoing the flight deck accordingly, with no elevator behind the island.

I have already bought 20 F-35Cs for the carrier and have a friend who is into 3D modeling who is going to make 24 of the Boeing F-X fighter design for the Navy that I will but on this carrier.

The Boeing design looks like this:

So imagine a deck with those baby's at the cats and parked/spotted on the deck along with F-35Cs, the new V-22 COD aircraft, and EA-18G Growlers for Electronics, and E-2Ds for AEW. Also a few V-22 ASW aircraft and Seahawks.

It's going to be nice but it is going to take a lot to do it...and it will not be cheap. But no one else will have anything like it.

Here's what those 1/350 scale 3D F-XX Boeing aircraft will come to me like. I will then paint them. Add markings. Add fuel tanks. Fold some wings for some that are spotted. Etc.

Interesting the navy F-X got canards.... Didn't the haters all say canards on J20 makes it non stealth?

You going to but 40+ on the deck? Is that going to fit?
