Some countries require you to serve in the military for 2 years...
Correct me if I'm wrong, bu doesn't South Korea and France do this?

Well sure there are many countries that have mandatory military service. Most of my friends in Taiwan all have to do it, as would I if I decided to get a job there and get naturalized. I was just talking about the US.

I am going to take the ACT tomorrow. Think an expired ID will do? The school isn't out with this year's IDs yet and all I have is last year's ID. (They are usually rubbish!) They take photos but my yearbook is 3 years old. (Just short of the 2 year limit, *sigh*) I've gotten my senior portrait photos, but those apparently don't qualify.....

I hope they don't check heavily.

all the checking is the same as the SAT, although a little less strict, they cramped all of us in one cafeteria for my last ACT test :coffee:
good luck? :)

I think I'm gonna apply to 3 Canadian Universities for the hell of it...
University of Toronto
University of Waterloo
University of British Columbia
And gonna drop SD, Irvine, Davis, and probably SB and probably University of Washington...
Stupid IB Diploma is useless in the United States, might as well apply there so I can get credits and acceptance for this painstaking diploma

Not really. Sure, SD has a good med program, but that is for after you get your undergraduate. Until then, feel free to go wherever you want.

As well, I do not know whether or not it is appropriate to post another forum online, but several of y'all could use it:

Military recruiters..jeez

When my son joined the USN in' 98 once they knew I did 20 years in the USN they stopped calling..:) ..He was going navy all the way. ..:)

When I was a lot younger one of dads friends from the RN tried to get me
to join up ! :)

I think the conversation went kind of downhill when he was telling me about
the world war and I asked 'The first world war or second?' :)

hey guys, just a piece of advise since i went through those pain last year. keep an eye on the teachers that you asked for a reco, most of them will wait till the last minute, and since they do this for many students, they will almost always forget someone. Keep keep reminding them a couple times so they can remeber to do yours. My physics teacher forgot to do mine and it was hell to make up stuff like that, and alot of people i know here on campus also have had simialr experience.
