It's legit. There's no loopholes like the CEO of Apple making a salary of $1 a year but he receives tens of millions in stock options. If you know of a way that he's making more than the 300 grand let me know.

Personally, I think it's a bit much. I get the idea behind it, but you risk not attracting top talent to such an important post.

Then again, even the President of the United States makes a salary of about the same thing. The prestige is more important than the money I guess (especially since it's virtually impossible to successfully run for president unless you're already incredibly wealthy).

That's the rub isn't it? Most reasonable people wouldn't believe CEOs of China's biggest banks only make a few hundred dollars a year, and your suggestion of $300,000 (USD?) also seems low. Be nice to see pictures of their real estate and the lifestyles they have. Also, what foreign university are their children attending? Do they own properties in US/EU/AUS, etc?

So you think Mcsweeney carries the burden of proof for the content of the article he posted?

I think you're trying to shoehorn yourself into a beer & pretzel conversation between Mcsweeney and I for your own agenda. M and I are just pleasantly shooting the breeze.

Conversation that is posted in an internet forum and which contains unproven allegations is asking for some tapas.

I agree. Those that put it out there should expect feedback from the Peanut Gallery. Ergo, I have no problems with people's right to opine.

I respond to the peanut gallery occasionally.

BTW, regarding your statement in post#7275 in you comment to mcsweeney,
